For starters, this is a CJ clone. Nothing wrong with that. On the plus side, the graphics and sound are top-notch. Also commendable is the more friendly collision-detection (the one in CJ was extremely harsh). On the downside, the pace is a bit too slow. Furthermore, the level layouts are a tad on the complex side. The worst of it all has to be the trial-and-error factor. I lost count how many times I had to jump in the unknown and landed on an unseen enemy or spiky trap. :|

This one definately goes down as one of my favourite Commodore 64 platformers. Always a childhood favourite too!

Originally played it several times as a Commodore Format demo and was bought the full game for a birthday possibly?

Very good gameplay and excellent graphics for a 'budget' game. I think most of all the music makes the game stand out for me. Just love it!

10/10 all the way :P

Once you have completed the first level as it doesn't seem that difficult. I beat the last level (Level 5) at my first attempt. Still, enjoyable enough...

Oh, and one more thing I forgot to mention. You are armed with fire-balls, but also can collect bombs and fire-breath from vanquished enemies. However, you can't alternate between bombs and fire-breath. This proves a major headache, as there are some parts of the levels which require bombs and some which require fire-breath.

I agree with G. Smith completely. Could have been great.. But the programmers should have played there own game more.. They would easaly have found where the flaws are.

Nice-looking platformer ruined by three flaws. 1: The main character's jumps take forever, making it nigh on impossible to avoid enemy missiles at times. 2: All too often difficulty is achieved by having you jump into the unknown, hoping for the best you'll land on a platform and not a hazard. 3: It's not always clear how far you can get to the edge of a bed of nails or quagmire before you die. A might-have-been, worth getting if you crave more CJ-type platforming.

This game takes me back to my childhood everytime I play it. I remember never getting past the first level but I still loved it. Recently I went back to it and completed it, after all those years. Pure nostalgia and personal bias I know, but I still do recomend this game.

Great game, I guess its a bit hard when your young, but its a cool game, some phat beats, and some crazeey disco discs to be rocked out of that volcano!

A CJ clone. After the success of the original CJ game, Codemasters revamped the gameplay here (and later in Stuntman Seymour). It's a great game. Maybe even better than CJ. And great music..

Cheap little platformer... Just like most of the other Codemasters' jump'n'run games.

Had good graphics but the game play wasn't as good as it should have been
