The smell of roses

I'm absolutely thrilled that Zara has reintroduced this perfume. Although it's now housed in a new bottle, rest assured, the scent remains as delightful as ever.

Initially, I must admit, I wasn't smitten with this fragrance. It didn't strike me as a pure orange blossom scent, and it wasn't the kind of perfume that lingers on your skin all day. However, after acquiring a bottle of Zara's fragrant hand sanitizer (a nostalgic nod to the pandemic era) with this very scent, I found myself gradually falling in love with it. It's a truly exceptional orange perfume that strikes a balance between being modern and complex. A must-have for any orange perfume aficionado.

The new bottle offers 100ml of this delightful scent at the previous price of £25.99, which is an absolute steal. I'm particularly pleased that the price is more affordable than the Silent Flowers collection, a collaboration between Zara and Jo Malone, which was priced at nearly £40. A welcome return indeed!

kristoferiscariot

my favourite zara perfume ever, so happy they brought it back!

opens up with a bright zesty sharp bergamot and dries down to a sweet honeyed orange blossom. performs even better in hot sunny weather.

new bottles are luxurious with metal caps with same formula.

a must buy.

igorvida87

Orange blossom and fresh citrus done beautifully. Although I prefer dryer florals, like Diptyque’s Eau des Sens, this one has a nice take on bergamot. Not zesty and not too soapy, really well balanced. On my skin it sits for around 3 hours, which is good considering it is a Zara fragrance. TF Neroli Portofino is indeed similar, but I really don’t know how it is possible for such an expensive scent to last and project poorly.

One of my favorite JoMalone’s scents that are not priced as one of their bottles.

silvertealight

a softer version of TF neroli portofino ! a sweet but sparkly mandarin with the floral base makes it really uplifting and enjoyable! love this so much!

Ariete76

Good perfume created by a large nose, very similar to Tom Ford's Neroli Portofino

nemee

Can't really say it's a neroli portofino clone, really.
It's not harsh and aromatic like neroli portofino, it's alot more on orange/citrus side, but can't say it's bad, it's still good orange smelling scent with orange blossom touch, just don't expect alot.

nrammell

It was an instant was off as I felt like I was wearing Cif.

AgataO

A nice scent - I have the layering scent box and on its own I prefer the Fleur d'Oranger, but one of my friends loves the Amalfi and as it lasts on her longer than on me, that is only up to 2 hour - she wants to buy i t too. It is a shame there is no small testers for us to try it and see how long it will last.
And as said by others it is for me a really short lasting version of Tom Ford Neroli Portofino ( a better and longer lasting version - and still cheaper - would for me be the Molton Brown Orange&Bergamot)

aliyegore

As frequently mentioned in the comments, an affordable equivalent of Neroli Portofino. Unlike Portofino, I think the density of white flowers in it balances the scent structure of the perfume a little more. In this sense, we can say that it is a successful interpretation.

Dr Harder

In high heat this is a killer scent. There is nothing better than this combo (citrus+orange flowers) for those humid conditions

gutyser

very..very weak . smell nice but No projection, no sillage..I waste my money.

Icebears

This a lovely, clean citrus scent. I sometimes layer this with Fleur d’oranger for a mega citrus floral kick.

I was worried that the emotions line was being discontinued but I see some of the other scents from this range have come back but in smaller bottles. (A big bottle used to be 90mls but now it’s 75mls). So I’m hoping in time they will all be available again, even if I am a bit miffed that they shrunk the size! Cheeky!

kashmirattar

A truly lovely cologne, of orange blossom and zest. Bright, cheery, solar. It is a wonderful pick me up.

There is no longevity and it’s pretty linear. But who cares? It is distilled happiness.

I’m sad it sold out before I could get a full size bottle. I loved my travel size. I’ve started layering my 4711 over a Neroli attar to get a similar effect.

Please, Zara, bring back all of the Jo Malones!

impressedguy

Oh dear this is lovely.

I think this just got discontinued, I got it really cheap with huge discount. It is a lovely neroli fragrance, weirdly enough it is not synthetic and its dry down is sweet and but not really musk-y. I love to have it with me and spray it all day on me, it feels a wonderful treat during these really hot days of summer.

Wondering if we are going to get something similar in the near future from Zara.

I should have bought it earlier!

It's a love from me.

Frabra88

Summer is officially here in Italy so today I spritzed myself with an overdose of Amalfi Sunray + Zara Caviar Bergamot + Zara Saffron & Orange Flowers (my favorite), the result was a cloud of mellow bergamot and citrus, with a sparkly sensation from their peels and much greenery, a little muskiness and the sweetness of the saffron radiating from their edges, plus paradisiac orange flowers closing the circle! That is why I love the Zara x Jo Malone collabs, the quality is good and you can spray with abandonment and without guilt...I practically showered my self in the first two and then dabbed a few times the rollerball of the Saffron one.

Now, on to Amalfi Sunray: in it a feel a potent lemon mixed with bergamot and sweetend by it. It is a bit scratchy this lemon, a bit harsh for a moment so I should not like it in theory but it has a kind of bitter and oily quality about it that makes its smell more profound, so it doesn't really scratches and screams like that kind of citrus used in many harsh masculine fragrances, which I hate with all my heart (I find them obnoxious and dated).
I don't feel a watery quality at all in the citrusy notes, they are deep, I can only describe them as oily and in truth the fragrance has that apothecary like aura about it, as if you are using good quality essential oil, it has the Jo Malone natural style + materials that smell like they could be natural.
The citrus are accompanied by a light touch of green that smells like citrus foliage (probably it is petitgrain, more strong in the middle) and a bit of peel of the mandarin, not bitter but not yet properly sweet, much sparkly!

The flowers in this perfume for me smell more like neroli, much more green and earthy then classic orange flowers, or maybe we could say Amalfi Sunray has very immature orange flowers with a minimum of sweetness but also a bit dirty...not fully clean and sweet like those of Zara Fleur d'Oranger, I find those two fragrances quite different even if they have the same accords.
There is something else in the composition, something that gives this a bit of deepness and set it aside from a classic white flower cologne. I don't know if it is a little of wood or some musk but it rounds the citrusy notes, gives them body and a cool unisex edge.
Personally I can smell a bit of wood, but it seems I am the only one...on my skin this note is potent and I suspect it is the reason why I find it so appealing when in theory it should be a huge no for me; when the citrus inevitably fade away it is that note that remains on my skin togheter with a bit of the soiled neroli/orange flowers, dry down is the best part but I like the results as whole very much!

To me this fragrance doesn't smell like an Amalfi vacation, nor as if the citrus are hit by a sunray, as the name suggest...but it smells like being on an a citrus camp in Sicily, during an afternoon of summer with a cool wind passing through the trees...bringing you their essence in the form of the scent of their fruits, foliage and probably just a hint of their woods. The breeze-y lemon then meets green neroli (a bit clean and a bit muddied, not soapy to me) and also some green and lightly fresh spicy herb. There is little of solar in this one, I find it more refreshing, nor would I dare to use it under the sun even if it screams summer! It actually recalls to mind the smell those camp have when the summer rain that hits them starts to dry...it is a bit humid.

It is one of my favorite because it gives an aromatic and bitter citrus aspect to every scent you layer it with, a blend of citrus and fresh earthyness in a sense, without being properly masculine or sweet and feminine but truly neutral which is very hard to find..specially at this price and with this quality.
I don't find it has that hated cleaning agent smell some refer to, luckly for me because I hate that too.

In terms of performance it last on me for about four hours, and surprisingly it projects quite well for the first two, even being a citrus based perfume. Dry down endures for a more couple of hours but it is intimate.
Layered with Zara Bhoemian Bluebells + Zara Fleur d'Oranger is so beautiful, an herbaceous bitter combo with the smoothness of sandalwood and the sweetness of the orange flowers 🌼

As for comparisons I can say it is very similar to Tom Ford Neroli Portofino Acqua (turquoise bottle) more so then Neroli Portofino edp and Mandarino d'Amalfi edp which I find more complex, I tried them both a couple of times and never buyed them, not even samples because they last too little for what they cost, Amalfi Sunray has something of their opening, I had at home one of those perfumed card for Mandarino and, as I remembered, they are different.
In respect to the Classic 4711 Cologne I can say they share much but I find this Zara one less alchoolic and more modern (we use that one on hour hands in my house! Like a tonic to refresh and sanitize, something I could never do with Amalfi Sunray, it's too strong for that).
I find Zara Fleur d'Oranger very different, much more solar, sweet, vibrant and colorful, also much more clean (when it should be the opposite!) in terms of the flowers, it is also less citrusy.

Edit: I said I would not use it under the sun because I fear there could be some strong citrus oil in it, or some of those extract/molecule that can be photosensitive, I do the same with cosmetics even though in those it's more easy to the recognize the ingredients.

OTA Mom

Delicate orange blossom with just a touch of citrus and no woodiness, light and feminine.

Binst145

Blind bought this looking for a summer scent. First I got that cleaning product sensation from a sharp citrusy opening, however once it dries down it becomes a really lovely fresh orange blossom scent. It lasts fairly long on my skin, longer than Atelier des Ors’ Blanc Polychrome. I really do enjoy this and will wear it in the sticky heat to feel fresh :)

Not_So_Perfumy

Not that similar to TF NP; NP is heavy on the...NEROLI, Amalfi Sunray is more citrusy.
It is on the dry side, which very minimal sweetness, which I prefer.
This is more like an Eau de Cologne; It doesn't project much, and doesn't last long, but that's a given with such scents.
I like it, and I find the price to be fair.

SandyToess

The dry down of this is so very similar to Burberry Brit Rhythm wow I adore both.

Mariiaguida

I absolutely adore the scent of this fragrance! It's so fresh but calming! Beautiful. However the sillage and longevity are really tame, you have to spray A LOT to get a good performance. It's afordable so its okay, however Im going to have to repurchase it really soon.

FirstSense

Layer Fleur d'Oranger with Amalfi Sunray and it's néroli heaven. Very similar to TF Néroli Portofino but I actually like these maybe a little bit more. Because NP is soo expensive and it has for that high price such a bad performance. For 50 Euro's you have 180 ml of summer freshness delight in two simplistic but functional bottles.

SpiderMarc

I liked it before when I first bought it in 2021.
It really is the best clone/dupe of NP Tom Ford, not so much MDA or MDAA.

Approximately USD 35 for 90ml in Malaysia, the price is so reasonable!! 🤑
Just coz of the price and the major similarities to TF, my like changed to love!! 😍

Tooturntt

I bought a travel size roller ball & gifted it to my husband. This smells almost identical to TF Neroli Portofino (which may have been intentional). It's too masculine leaning on my skin but compliments my partners beautifully. Lasting power isn't great but neither is the TF.

ArlissLux

got a 1 oz bottle on sale at zara.
lemon heads meets glade plug-in.
dries down to something close to neroli.
kinda reminds me of fleur d'oranger but i prefer that over amalfi.
call me weird but i like it lol

coffeefifofum

Opens Lemon Pledge. Dries neroli essential oil. Once it gets to the dry down it's fine but has no standout factor.

SerenaLovesKanye

This scent, is delicate and strong at the same time, it's white flowers, neroli and orange mix, smells like sunshine and white flowers. It's gorgeous on it's own and can add such depth to layer combos, I use it to lighten and add a refreshing floral to thicker spicier more robust fragrances. It's perfect on it's own and also blends so well with other scents.

{One of my favourite combos, of which I have received compliments, is to spray Tuberose Noir on liberally on freshly showered moisturized skin of my body, Amalfi SunRay on my wrists and crook of elbows and top with (my favourite) Bohemian Bluebells on my neck and behind my ears. This combination is heavenly to me and creates a lasting scent bubble that is gorgeous, feminine and calming.)

likesleet

breezy lemon, but also reminiscent of the powdery outsides of lemonhead candy but more matured

Bonifac

At first the fragrance appeared feminine, but later I grew to love it. It's a soapy and clean scent and I love wearing it around the house. I don't go out in public with it, there are more interesting perfumes for that.

Pez_Enelrio

I bought it very cheap, on sale but was planning to purchase on full price even. i find myself again and again liking orange blossom in different setups. I wanted to have something like neroli portofino but cheaper; and Zara is never disappointing me.
It is fresh, slightly bitter at first then in the drydown sweetens a bit. Also it is very classic smelling, typical Cologne and totally unisex, i could share a bottle with my grandpa and we would both be rocking it

CitrusBouquet

Fresh and simple. I’ve been complimented few times right after I sprayed some. Enjoyed my first bottle and re-purchased, but got a little bored with the smell. However I like to keep it in my bag and use it. to freshen up, especially because it’s hot and humid now.

Kuty22

I blind bought this one - super cheap
But I already have Fleur d'Oranger, this one is slightly more masculine to my nose so I'll give it to my fiancé.

michlle

I like this better than fleur d’oranger, which seems to be a minority opinion. This is natural-smelling, whereas fleur is a little plasticky. Lovely neroli cologne.

ginaputricandra

First sniff at the bottle, it's smell like an orange scented room deodorizer and quite disturbing. After I applied it on my skin, it change to a soapy scent, like a soap bar I used to wear: fresh and a clean scent. After a few hours it change into a flowery like scent, and it remind me of floral tea scent.

ashleyj317

Layer this with Zara FLEUR D'ORANGER, and you have TF Neroli Portofino

Orchids55

Love at first sniff but then a few hours in got a headache. It was long lasting on my skin. I received it in a discovery sample set, and was going to buy a larger bottle, but changed my mind.

MePerfumeAndI

Excellent dupe for Tom Ford Neroli Portofino which was my intention in purchasing. In no world I am spending that much money on TF when the scent lasts 10 minutes. This is great alternative and smells identical. It’s good. I sprayed it on late night before bed and I still smell it on my clothes next day. It definitely lasts longer on clothing than skin.

DaianeNov86

Smells bad on women and very average on a man. It also only lasts 5 minutes on the skin and on clothes.

stephen.redeker

I agree with the review below, she nailed it. If you know and like the white floral scent of neroli, then you will like this. For men, this is lacking the woods in Bvlgari Wood Neroli (for example), so this may lean towards the unisex/feminine side. The citrus keeps it from being too far fem. I'm a guy and I like it; the dry down is really nice. Especially in the summer.

Update: After spraying last night, it's still on my skin 12 hours later and even after a light shower. This is a great price/performance proposition for someone who just wants a simple, quality neroli fragrance that isn't too loud and lasts a fairly long time. If this were in a Jo Malone bottle, it would be over $100 more expensive.

karinatfragrantica

This really smells like TF Neroli Portofino which I like very much but not enough to pay the crazy price, especially considering the poor longevity. Amalfi Sunray is a good dupe and sillage and lasting power seems to be at least as good as Neroli Portofino' s. I am very happy with this blind buy! Highly recommended for anyone who wants a straight forward neroli summer scent at a really good price point.

jackie strength

Although it smells fresh at first, it becomes oppressive over time. I do not like.

Cherry_Darling

Straight up neroli to me. Citrus but herbal in a schreetchy way that only neroli tends to be. Nice though if you like freshie herbals! Pretty good lasting power but quite synthetic drydown. Not too bad for price it's a good deal for summer.

AlinaSss

I have sprayed this in the Zara shop and it stunk. Nor sure why but I hated it. I love citrus notes but I hated this with a passion, I guess me and the orange Blossom note don't get along that well...I did love the Pamplemousse Vetiver one. Very poor longevity (especially now in winter) but it's just as good as the Miller Harris one which I already own. I had to buy it, it's a gorgeous grapefruit and citrus rind smell that brings the summer back even for a few seconds.

Mikejla79

Barber shop cologne style. I gave it to my dad. Nice but a bit too fresh for me.

sandrute09

Very lovely, reminds me of a childhood. It will be the best in summer ☺️☀️⛱️

edwin140

I own both Neroli Portofino and Mandarino di Amalfi acqua. The opening leans towards Mandarino di Amalfi acqua but you quickly realize it lacks the depth of MdAA once that bright mandarin citrus opening fades. When it dries down a bit, the similarities to NP surface as the neroli note starts to come through.

Simple fresh citrus cologne, little warm at the base, smells a bit cheap and meh. It becomes a skin scent almost immediately and doesn't last very long, but that's expected. Perfect for wearing out of showers in the summer. Good for the price.

cjkc_02

I love the bright opening, but what is it with that unpleasant dry down (both on my skin and paper)?

nadmau

This is such a fitting scent to beat the heat. It's fresh, it's simple, it's clean & sleek in a bottle. Having the travel size version of this is surely a gamechanger so I can always reapply whenever the weather gets too hot (& considering its rather poor longevity). But for the price, it's definitely a win!

BerryRose

In the initial eight perfumes that Jo Malone did for Zara, three of them are very much the Jo Malone style: light, airy, fresh, cologne-like (even though these are EPDs) with an emphasis on citrus notes. Amalfi Sunray is very much in that spirit (the others being Vetiver Pamplemousse and Fleur D'Oranger). This has a classic cologne vibe, so much so that it smells similar to 4711 Original. Amalfi Sunray is fresh, easy to wear, and great in summer. The only problem with this one is that it has almost no staying power. While I'm not expecting hours of wear at this price point, this one has noticeably less wear time than the others in the collection.

floszra

It's quite similar to Neroli Portofino, which I really love, it has the same retro citrus cologne vibe. And it has also the same kinda weak performance, but at least the price is more than okay here (unlike NP :D). I love it, I'm a sucker for the mentioned retro citrus cologne type. It reminds me of my childhood, I've smelled multiple similar scents as a little girl (I think 4711 was one of them), so it has a nostalgic value for me.
It will suit the summer heat very well.

supersaiyan

I find this one much sweeter than Neroli Portofino, closer to Byredo Sundazed/Diptyque Oyedo (which both smell very similar). In any case, it's great and affordable!

fwteinhkr

This is one of the few perfumes that have taken over me, and very far from my usual taste. The longevity is not good, but that is reflected in the price. However, when i first smelled it, in the middle of the winter, i was thrown back to memories of growing up in the mediterranean, carefree, happy, innocent, taking every bit of life in. My mood lifts instantly and there is a bounce in my step when i smell this. This is a summer scent for the day, or an early evening, walking around some old city in a flowy dress or a linen shirt, the amalfi scent blended with the scent of the flowers, being happy, creating memories. It is not a deep perfume, or seductive or warm in any way and that is its beauty. It's simple, fresh, lively, happy and somewhat innocent.

NewYorkNose

This is almost a straight dupe for Neroli Portofino Acqua Tom Ford, I’ve worn them side by side and you almost cannot tell the difference.

TheSniffer

If you’ve tried any of the well known Neroli fragrances in the “this reminds me of” section, you know what this smells like. Soapy Neroli goodness that smells like Italy in the sunshine. Hard to dislike really.

Performance is what you expect from a budget Neroli scent. Lasts a modest amount of time, mostly as a very faint skin scent.

Tom Ford Neroli Portofino
Banana Republic Neroli Woods
Jeanne en Provence Neroli Intense
Zara Amalfi Sunray

Close your eyes and pick one. They basically all smell and perform almost the same.

Personally, I prefer “Neroli Intense” by Jeanne en Provence. It smells very similar but it’s even cheaper, with ever so slightly better performance and a tiny touch more zestiness.

millerje86

One of those uplifting, clean Neroli-esque scents that’s impossible to offend anyone.
The type of fragrance that can change your mood at the first spray.
Longevity is actually ok for both the type of fragrance it is and the fact that it’s a Zara.
I actually enjoy the house quite a bit, I’ve got a lot of their offerings and will get more. I can honestly say that there’s only ONE out of everything I’ve put my nose on that I can say I “dislike” and the rest are very passable.

rajnigandha

From the first sniff, I am thinking what's there to not like, but, also what's there to love too. It's inoffensive. That's the word. And at this price, I can see it becoming a go to perfume for the entire summer season. But if you are looking for unique, give this one a miss. It smells like any perfume out there that has blue/ sea/ ocean/ fresh/ clean/ Amalfi or such in the description.
It doesn't last long but what does in the summer? And for this price, you can spray it frequently.

On second thought, today it stayed on me for 5-6 hours. And it smelt how I think a lovely, sunny day spent on the sea would smell like. It was very soothing.

SmellsJustLike

Close your eyes…
It’s a hot day in Italy and you have been walking around a old city. Slightly sunburnt you sit down in a backstreet cafe to get some shade and order an aperol spritz. You can still kind of smell your hotel shower soap and as you cool down your drink arrives. This is that smell. Bitter Orange with a little salt and musc on a hot day.
Beautiful summer scent. Very Tom Ford with a brilliant price tag. Bellisima.

millerje86

Definitely a unisex scent but I could see people saying this leans feminine.
Nothing groundbreaking, just another clean, bright, “neroli-type” scent that is really hard to dislike.
Not what I would call a cheapie by any means, and at it’s price point there’s a lot more options out there that will do the same thing, only better. Either way, an addition to my collection that will get use from both me and my wife.

Mona Lygre

Who gets lost finds new ways, me and my best girlfriend went interrail back in 1985, we were supposed to visit France, but when we were standing there at the railway station in Karlsruhe (D), a train with the letters "Rimini" came along on the plattform, so, guess what....?

After Rimini, we ended up in Salerno, we met some nice men, and they brought us to Amalfi and it's small cottages twice, and we both falled in love, me with Amalfi, and she with Francesco... ;))

I have always been talking about Amalfi, and I must go back there some day, finally, my dream had nearly came true, I had ordered a plane flying to Rome 27th of march 2020, but than the pandemic came along... -Amalfi is still there, it's such a beautiful place on earth,

and beautiful is also my new perfume!!! 10/10!!!

dunder988

I smelt this in the store today and wow how it smells amazing! to my nose, this has an aromatic citrusy scent. This is so much unlike other citrusy scents I have tested. I was going to buy it but the bottle was too big, I wish they had this in smaller 30 ml bottle

pansylady

Lovers of soapy orange blossom scents, this one's for you (and me!) Great longevity, decent potency, and just the teeniest tad of indoles, just enough to keep your attention- reminds me of Prada Infusion de Fleurs d'Oranger (original formulation)-

witch_x3

This maybe just me - but this is so screechy! I love the scent in the rollerball but then when I put it into the atomiser and spray it I just get cleaning products. I’ve found layering it with some lemon or musk warms it up a bit.

Enrium

Amalfi Sunray opens with radiant citrus notes. The sweet, natural-smelling mandarin orange of the initial opening is tempered beautifully by the slightly more bitter bergamot notes that creep in several minutes later. The fresh, zesty opening gives way to softly sweet white floral accords - orange blossom, and some citrus-y neroli. It dries down to a soapy skin scent after about an hour.

Sillage is moderate and longevity is fleeting, like most of the others in this line - more of an eau fraiche than EDP as labelled. Amalfi Sunray is almost like a cross between Vetiver Pamplemousse and Fleur d'Oranger. Very fresh and clean, this is best applied liberally after showering. Reminiscent of Mediterranean holidays, it is aptly-named.

This is a linear and one-dimensional summer cologne, yet it is pleasant and made with good quality ingredients for the price. Minimal and unoriginal, it is a safe, inoffensive, simple day scent, but is nothing special. My only real gripe is its limited performance. Feminine-leaning, but potentially unisex. It likely layers well, but I have yet to experiment. 3/5.

juicygreasy

not awful but to me it smells more like an orange-scented marker than anything else

overtsaceie

This doesn't seem awesome at first impression but the dry-down is amazing. Unfortunately, it stays less than an hour

erisie

like many, this reminds me of neroli portofino. it smells more clean and orangey. amazing for the summer heat- it reminds me of a holiday. sometimes i think it smells a bit too soapy and clean on me. i'd say the best description for this fragrance is a white dress- fresh, neutral, citrusy and summery.

tryhardcomplex

A very simple orange scent that could never go wrong. Bitter orange is alllll i smell in this and I absolutely love it, I don't see it as much of orange blossom as many of the other reviewers, it smells quite bitter to me. I enjoy it quite a lot and I do love layering it with other more cardamom-based perfumes to balance them out. A really good buy and it lasts quite a bit and I definitely recommend it.

ValdiMiroMercury

I can smell only orange blossom. It is okay. I wear this fragrance when I want to feel some citruses around. And this one is tasty, by the way. It is for ocean coast look or some light-suburb look, I think. It is a good fragrance for Zara, but not that good for Jo Malone. It costs its money. It reminds me a neroli soap from Crimea I bought once. But nothing special. It is simple, in a good way.

fragrancemusing

I do not smell the similarity to diptyque Eau des Sens.. it want to be, but it lacks the depth, woodiness and astringency of EdS. It's like the younger step sister.. there are similarities but still not the exact same.

To it's merit, is still a pretty and sweet citrus fragrance, perfect for casual hot summer days. For lovers of orange blossom, neroli & white floral fragrances, buy it without the expectation of it smelling like other brands, you will not be disappointed.

I wish it last longer on my body, so I can smell more of how it develop throughout the day. The fragrance last about 1-2 hours on me, before becoming a skin scent.

Manya3

I don't get the Eau des Sens similarity at all, I'm actually shocked at what I smelled after reading the reviews here...It's a very simple lemon cologne, that's all I get. Maybe it was an old tester or something was off, but I get nothing worth noting from this.

10topTK

Wasn't gonna buy this
But I've been admiring Diptyque's Eau De Sens for quite a while and this is the perfect dupe for it for 1/4 of the price. Might stock up another bottle in couple weeks

kristoferiscariot

WOW!!! Was not expecting that. This is one of the best orange blossoms fragrances out there. This smells better than TF Neroli. Very similar to CLEAN reserve Neroli. This is amazing, how did they manage to get the dry down of bergamot so well? I never get bergamot for more than a couple minutes and somehow I still smell the bergamot hours after!

cherylaf

It's a lot like TF Neroli Portofino, but a little more citrus. Also a lot like Fleur d'Oranger from the same range (called Neroli in Canada).

It's definitely unisex, I would say slightly more feminine than Fleur d'Oranger. It definitely is a perfume made for summer, but works on sub-zero days indoors when you're pining for summer to come...

MaquiLab

So sunny, so fresh, so young ad free-spirited! It's delicious and exhilirating at the same time. This is probably the best of all citruses combined in a single fragrance. To be worn heavily so that you can spread that Amalfi sunshine wherever you go!

jolinalising

For me, this one smells exactly like Nenuco. The baby cologne that me and my high school classmates used to douse ourselves with! This one has a fresh citrusy scent. Nothing too special about it.

Albiretu

To my nose, this is exactly what I remember Neroli Portofino to be! I’m surprised, because I thought Fleur D’Oranger (called Neroli in Canada for some reason) would be more like Neroli Portofino... I’ll get that one and see! This one is amazing, I love it!

atiny

I would say it's a warmer version of CK One.

Pia61

For some reason reminds me of eau de cologne 4711. I layer this with Vetiver pamplemousse, which has more character, and I guess this could be layered with many other kind of scents in fact.

JeffreyHan

More similar to Mandarino di Amalfi than to Neroli Portofino.
Feel soapy, but still ok for that price level

Blackmoonlilith

A nice Mediterranean citrus summer scent. When it settles it reminds me of Escale a Portofino by Dior, which I used about 10 years ago when I visited Portofino. Very nice imitation for the price!

elledeelee

I'm not usually a fan of a citrus but somehow this is probably my favourite from the Zara x JM range. It's all sunny zesty citruses and something aromatic, with androgynous cologne vibes. Long lasting and very refreshing for summer, wearing it I feel like the kind of classy woman who takes long weekend breaks in Monaco, and who can wear all white without spilling.

Ralphangel

A bad copy of 4711, nothing new. Also, real cheap packaging as the bottle label is made out of plain paper and mine was starting to come off when I opened the package. It smells like any Spanish colonia you could by at your nearby pharmacy for far less of a price.

My three Ps

Price 5/10

Projection 6/10

Performance 6/10

Definitely your more natural smelling fragrances that you don’t usually get from Zara. This fragrance reminds me of a sweeter Diptyque Eau De Sens which I love but just ran out. Great thing I have this alternative. Great for everyday use, after a night shower, or just even your staycation. For its price point, i love its longevity at least 6-8 hours on me if i’m just at work and not sweating it off. Must try for citrus lovers and those who want to smell your old school Spanish citrusy, soapy, neroli/orange colognes but more long lasting. I have a collection of niche fragrances but I have been wearing this everyday since I bought it.

bb023

Not impressed. I can only smell citrus (no mandarine). I can only smell bergamot (lemon/citrus). This smell reminds me of the cheap Davidoff Champion. It's not bad though. It's a scent for the summer after showering.

albkelly99

as is often the case here re zara frags notes are all wrong. as most people have noted this one is neroli based/heavy not orange blossom so much. im pretty sure the notes for this and fleur de oranger have been mixed as that lists neroli when its most obviously orange blossom heavy

that out of the way, a superb addition to the fresh neroli summer frag genre though this type of scent is probably overdone now. decent performance

Victorchachi

Very similar to Neroli Portofino with a tad more orangey vibe.

A nice cologne that serves its purpose of making you feel clean and cosy, especially after a nice fresh shower.

Over here in Spain, we have a cologne bottle called "Nenuco" which smells just like this (and like Neroli Portofino), which we use as "baby cologne", and this smells extremely similar.

I would not recommend this for a special occasion, but it's great for pretty much anything else.

8/10.

I bought this as the same reason as I bought Vetiver Pamplemouss from the same line. Nice basic simple natural enough citrusy scent and I'm planning to use it to mix with the other fragrances that I wish they'd have had more citrus backgrounds

raj.kanaj

Made of top notes entirely
Concerned for its performance

FabulouslyLazy

I got this perfume on a whim, basically because I love Jo Malone and was too excited to see the brand on Zara shelves. I was looking for something orangey and bright, and I guess I made the deal. The opening smells like candied-tangerine with some floral accents; as the perfume evolves it becomes more citrusy. Amalfi Sunray is definitely a cologne-like fragrance meant for the summer but somehow manages to shine in wintertime too. I find it akin to Eau de Givenchy, possibly because of the neroli-like feeling. Projection is rather soft; longevity is moderate - about 5 hours.

MacGuffin

The smell of lemony neroli combo. Nice one

GeorgeY

Inoffensive bright aromatic citrus scent, but personally I prefer fleur d'orange from this range to this one

samuelgustav

A nice clean neroli citrus scent, well done for the price
