Gentle Fluidity Silver by Maison Francis Kurkdjian is a Aromatic Spicy fragrance for women and men. Gentle Fluidity Silver was launched in 2019. The nose behind this fragrance is Francis Kurkdjian.

Same notes, two identities

Working the ingredient to express its full potential and meeting the challenge of composing two different eau de parfum with the same notes: juniper berries, nutmeg, coriander, musks, ambery woods and vanilla. The Gentle Fluidity duo was born of the perfumer’s imagination to offer two distinct olfactory silhouettes, for her or for him.

In Gentle Fluidity (Silver), nutmeg and ambery woods are dominant and release a vibrant, comfortable trail. As for juniper berry essence, it leads to an ascending, ultra-fresh, aromatic note, similar to a “gin frappé” effect, balanced by the dry, slightly balmy, spicy notes of nutmeg. The base notes reveal ambery wood facets ranging from sweet and enveloping to powerful and dry. (From the brand's website.)

Clean fresh professional versatile addicting! In the same style as aventus cologne but I prefer this over aventus. I’ve had so many compliments wearing this. Definitely a dressed up fragrance but still versatile when you just wanna smell clean & fresh.

takefivespiegel

Probably the most unique gin fragrance out there. It's masculine, clean and inoffensive whilst being unique. All-season banger

901RT

Very crisp , clean fragrance . Will pull compliments . Will most definitely stay on others if you give a handshake or hug. The juniper berries set the tone . Nice silage and good longevity . Got up to about 7 hours of longevity.

ver5

One of my longest lasting perfume! It smells just like a fresh gin and tonic and as a fan of gin, I love this.
This one is supposed to be unisex but I think it's leaning more masculine, but I don't mind it at all. This one layered with the gold fluidity is just amazing. But I just love it because this could last me 8-10 hours on skin and 12+ hours on my clothes.

MESEE

I bought a 200ml which is the most I've of any fragrance in my small collection! They said it's synthetic, Well it's not that synthetic it's one of these frag.s you can get so easily addicted to and no one smelled it on me and didn't like. I love wearing it in the spring cold mornings and nights. It's easy, versatile with a great performance!

senad05

This is the TV-Series "succesion". This gives Patrick Bateman, clean CEO or something similar vibes. Not very unique though, but definetely reccomandable!

RESNEW

All of the best comments below but I’d like to emphasize that on ME, it not only projects for 2-3 hours but it leaves a really nice trail.

stetina1

This is your favorite gin-tonic drink with spices on the top that you are having on the veranda in a sunset. Slightly cool breeze is a reminscence of the winter that just passed but white fluffy fur under your body keeps you warm and feeling cozy. You're having the best time of your life.

Men's shower gel. It's okay.

Gentle Fluidity Silver by Maison Francis Kurkdjian offers an opening reminiscent of fresh laundry and mountain air, refreshing and pleasant. However, while it evokes the crisp freshness of mountain air, it doesn't quite reach the same heights of love for me.

It provides a cooling effect initially, but this fades quickly after a couple of hours. Overall, it's a light and refreshing option during summer or at the office, for those seeking a subtle fragrance experience with intimate projection.

Despite its initial intrigue, the fragrance falls short in longevity and projection. To me, it's really a bit of a nothingburger, the likes of Silver Mountain Water and PDM Galloway at least offer some interesting notes. I'm skipping this one in favor of more distinct scents that offer better value for money.

Panorama

Nothing special really, reminds me of something that i've smelled 100 times now. I wouldn't pay the asking price for this type of DNA. I think you can get it in designer realm for at least half of price of this. It doesn't really smell like it but it gives me Amouage Reflection vibes.

Xx-neon-xX

Major men's cologne vibes and just not my cup of tea. There's several fresh scents I like so much better. It's nice, soft but not soft, but if I want to smell like my man, I'll wear him instead ;)

Extrait Overdose

This is what a billionaire CEO smells like. Clean, long lasting and unique :)

idcbartek

There is something about this scent which sets it apart from all the other typical ‘clean’ fragrances. Makes for a great signature for sure.

Mgrijalva

This leans masculine - I got this in a discovery set . This gives me old spice shower gel freshness …
It’s not super intense, but you can definitely smell the juniper berries, woody& spice ! It smells nice , on a man .

RegularGuyRants

Amazing metallic fragrance. I get 10+ hourse of performance with decent sillage. Contemplating buying a backup bottle

Advantageous01

Wonderfully clean, metallic, and abstract. Persistent but well-rounded sweetness backed by light woods and some spice from the coriander. I appreciate that this is fresh and clean without being soapy, hard to find such a scent.

Longevity is decent though I go nose blind to this very quickly like most musk-heavy scents. Two sprays on my neck and two on my shirt gets me about 2 hours of perceived longevity and 5-6 hours total.

Unmarkedbillz

@amdrechenko ...hears fragrances. I want what she's on.

amudrechenko

I absolutely adore this fragrance. I mostly hear aromatic, and spicy notes. For some reason the beginning of the fragrance reminds me of some spicy fruits as well, and maybe even with hints of zest or citruses. It opens up beautifully both on me and my husband, and dries out to a more vanilla-heavy woody base. I agree with others that ambroxan can be heard here as well. It's very fresh, green and airy and it is not heavy, nor intense. It's absolutely gorgeous and very easy to pull of! For me, it's a keep!

dogzillamd

I guess I'm lucky, this frag is an absolute factory on my skin. 6 hours and I am still making waves. I go noseblind to it long before I stop projecting, so I have to be careful because I love dousing myself in it. I'd wear this year out if it weren't for some of the great winter frags, but the warmer weather lets this one shine.

I tested this for a long time considering the price point. There's really no question though, I love this. Bought the big bottle and why not throw my initials on there.

AlexandraRoseD

I enjoy the freshness and aromatic notes of this parfume especially in the hot summer days.

Although the incredible aroma, it is bombarded with ambroxan, so it holds for a long time. The problem is that it also holds the same intensity after 5 hours, which actually annoys me !

Came to the conclusion that I prefer non linear parfumes that last until lunch, so if I'm in the mood I can reapply instead of being forced to hold the scent for so long.

connerb

Piney gin club soda with this light airiness that lifts it even higher. Something about this just holds an air of "old money". Great clean, airy and uplifting scent which makes it hard to go wrong. Only point of contention is the price point and that is between you and your wallet/purse.

Salohcin2148

I trashed the performance of this in a recent review and after spending more time and wearing it repeatedly Im eating my words on this one, kinda... It is weaker than its original form but the performance is acceptable. I get 3-5 hours and then settles to a skin scent and lingers until about the 8 hour mark. The thing is, as many have explained, it's addictive. I love the cold sharpness of the gin like juniper berries and even as the opening passes it holds on to this feeling into the dry down as well. I may just get a big 200ml and spray away because why not. Don't expect miracles in the cold weather but overall I cant really think of a scent that scratches the itch as a good alternative so I'll deem this as pick up worthy. This can be worn as a signature for sure. I endorse sampling this as I think it's a house favorite amongst the community for a reason.

Vortez

Favorite scent from MFK. Reminds me of the cold sharp air on top of the mountain during ski season

jackthomas_

Extremely light, airy, and effervescent off the rip. The main thing I think of with this fragrance is fresh-spicy mountain air. It's very fitting to its name. There are lots of piney-type smells with the woods and juniper berries. I don't get much vanilla, but the amber and musk make it more complex and attractive. Other than the weak sillage, I love this fragrance. Possibly full bottle and or signature-worthy. You could wear this any time, but it would absolutely shine during spring and summer.

Dexter G

Way way way too masculine for me! I appreciate the notes, the blend and the quality but I wont wear it again. Very fresh and suitable for spring and summer. Would love to smell this on a man tho! For me, the unisex theme of GF Gold and Silver has failed. Silver is a masculine scent and Gold is feminine. I absolutely adore GF Gold...but that is for another review.....

Gabriella.0

This is soo beautiful! I think this would smell heavenly on a man. It is a true unisex fragrance, i can wear it without feeling too masculine, but somehow it feels like it would stand out more on a guy.
I was very skeptical about it as I usually hate pine or aromatic fragrances even on men, but this is just so fresh and light, it's like fresh mountain air, with trees, flowers and wood, transported into a bottle.

Fountain30

GFS is generally a spring/summer reach for me. I wore it during a holiday last year so it reminds me of that time. I decided to spray it today and it smelt better than ever! Bare in mind my bottle is almost 2 years old so perhaps this thing ages like fine wine.

Anyway the star player is the juniper berry note which gives the fragrances a fizzy gin and tonic vibe. The dry down is a very sweetened musk affair but it’s beautiful from start to finish. Projection is moderate although you can get a stronger projection if you add a few more sprays. I do appreciate considering the price point many won’t want to do this.

Really nice, definitely unisex, don’t be put off by people saying it’s masculine, it’s called fluidity for a reason.
The versatility is the main attraction here - any season, any occasion. Feels great

user2988

This was a love at first sniff for me. Theres something almost nostalgic about it. If you've ever gone hiking near the mountains and have felt that cool mountain breeze in the middle of summer as well as that woody/green smell in the forrest, thats what this reminds me off. Most unique freshie/barbershop I've smelt so far.

I find it quite versatile, you can dress it up or down, definitely signature scent worthy.

One thing to note is it does become a bit leathery on skin as it dries down, which I don't mind, but to retain that freshness that I so love I spray this on my clothes as well as my skin. Also wish it performed slightly better, but I think it has a lot to offer as it is. Definitely worth getting a sample and trying this one out.

Nesne

It might come off more masculine but I would say it’s unisex enough to be worn by women too. I love how this has that creamy base and it’s very well blended. You can definitely smell the nutmeg and it absolutely elevates this scent into a more spicy woody and dry scent in the base. I would absolutely love this on a man but I love it on me too.

Salohcin2148

Smells great! basically a juniper berry gin sparkling male version of the clean laundry unisex scents he makes in this line. Butt, whatever this was back in the day is no more. I can attest this used to perform as I've sprayed my wrist a few times in store years ago and it lasted all day long easily. At that time I didn't appreciate the scent profile enough to pay such a high price tag. As my nose has grown and I gravitate toward these versatile everyday masculine fresh scent profiles I thought I get a 10ml to see if it's worth buying a bottle. Sprayed it 4 times on my arm before bed and 7 hours later it was completely gone when I woke up. Today is my first wearing and 2 hours have past and its almost gone... I sprayed my decant about 9 times so 4-5 normal atomizer sprays. Wonderful scent, just cant endorse something that's a former shadow of itself. On discounters this still runs $199 for 75ml......that's a hard no dawg. I have $60 fragrances that offer what this does and last an entire work day. It's not full of naturals so that cant be an argument so yeah. Worth a small decant to test but that's about it. I will enjoy the rest of my 10ml and spray the hell out of it. Cheers!

Update: After a new wears the performance is slightly better then I originally thought. You get 3-4 hours of a bubble then a skin scent for the next 2. Take that for what it’s worth, still don’t think it’s worth such a high price tag. I’m not a performance junky but I like my work scents to last throughout the day.

Update #2: This performs better then I gave it credit for. Its present for 4-6 hours with the last 2 hours being a very close bubble and then lingers for a while as a slight skin scent. each time I wear this it latches on to my shirt and lasts all day on clothes. As I get to the bottom of my decant I like it more and more... a few more wears and I may have to eat my words.........

esteban747

It’s a juniper berry-centric fragrance. From the beginning to the end I can smell the coniferous plant, especially the berries with the green/slightly bitter-minty tone.
The other notes are there but more as spectators than players.
It’s a clean fragrance but in a completely different way than say, Aqua Universalis, for example. There’s no musk or aldehydes in here. This is a raw clean scent, feels very natural.
It can be a bit linear after a while but for sure it’s something refreshing out of the “clean/fabric softener” fragrances offered by Maison Francis Kurkdjian.

aspirina

So pure and crisp! the juniper and coriander notes are so bright in this scent. Very classy masculine and modern, the amber and vanilla notes are subdued. Oh this is soo good. Inhale deeply and feel like you are in the most beautiful forest hugging the most handsome man. I need this for my husband.

krisscent

One of if not my favourite MFK scents. Extremely wearable soft and beautiful. All year round for me and a perfect scent for any occasion! It’s masculine leaning I don’t see a woman pulling this off although it is possible. Longevity is surprisingly great for a “freshie”, very good in fact and the projection isn’t bad either! A classy fresh masculine scent for all year round use. Like if Bleu De Chanel and Creed Himalaya had a niche child, it’s simple yet somehow manages to be well layered and complex with a beautiful almost warm dry down and that vanilla really showing through. Amazing quality, amazing scent, amazing longevity. 9/10

Docplaya

The nutmeg kills it for me.

lilyoftheva1ley

Gentle Fluidity Silver has been a surprise MFK standout for me.

Crisp juniper is softened with clean white musk and an extremely subtle hint of sweet amber/vanilla that becomes more prominent in the dry down. The smell of expensive gin, or a walk in the woods through new snow. Fresh and herbal but not astringent - still very approachable. Its freshness would make this scent great for warm weather, however I find myself loving it on cold winter days.

This is a more traditionally masculine fragrance. I feel it would be beautiful on anyone, but if that isn’t your thing this scent won’t be for you.

FabricatedFashion

This leans very masculine on my skin. I love Gentle Fluidity Gold. This unfortunately smells too masculine on me to enjoy it.

singhdivjot

Very addictive perfume and one of the most smoothest compositions by MFK.

POTFORTY2

This stuff is pretty incredible and should have at least a 4.4 IMO. When first sprayed I thought the decanter messed up and sent me Chanel Bleu but that’s only on initial blast soon after I get juniper berries blended amazing in a fresh smooth composition. Later it dries down and I get a Green Irish Tweed musk but with a gin and tonic focus rather than a grass one. Overall feels more modern and just as fresh.

I have no idea why I get Chanel Bleu at first lol.

hullhockey91

Simple yet addicting.

It immediately reminded me of Creed Himalaya, but then quickly blows that out of the water. The juniper berry mixed with the musk gives it an icy cold, mountain air freshness on a beautiful sunny day with just a hint of sweetness that makes it so narcotic.

It then invites some warmth through the coriander and woody notes but don't get fooled - it still remains fresh in such a unique way.

I don't typically like musk-heavy fragrances, but this one has me completely hooked. It is incredibley fresh without being citrusy, aquatic, or bright.

On the last stages of the dry down, this is where I really got hooked. Someone way down below said it reminded them of Aventus and I was like, "that dude must be high!" But then I was like...."whoa." If there was a flanker called "Aventus Silver," this would be it....but ONLY on the final dry down after an hour or two.

One of my favorites, ever.

emil1724

Right at the opening you get really nice musk and ice cold juniper berry. The juniper and musk stays throughout and gets introduced to light woody notes and perhaps the smallest bit of amber. Really, really fresh.

Though it is long lasting (6hours) for an freshie, and definitely has alright projection. Best modern take on the fougere genre in my opinion. THE safe scent for men. Great to have in a kind of eclectic but small collection. Love.

naxcissique

Luxurious, complex, and clean. This is a cool-as-a-cucumber scent that is perfect in the hot tropical country where I live. The opening smelled like expensive gin then dried down to something animalic that I can't stop sniffing on my wrist.

vitor rd

I dont understand why some people say that the amber and vanilla notes are in the base.

I feel the opposite of that, for me they appear more in the opening, then I smell juniper with the coriander and musk until the end.

This fragrance is simple but great at the same time

usernoname

Hit Neimann-Marcus yesterday to smell this...smelled nothing. I smelled the paper. Not sure what happened...

Ksj_

This is one of the most pleasant and clean smelling fragrances I think I've ever encountered. The initial sensory input made me hesitate, and think to myself "Wow, that's nice".

Side note:

This feels like what Prada wishes it could be...

Enrium

The Gentle Fluidity pair of perfumes from MFK are the result of an intriguing premise: two different scents that are made up of the same ingredients. Fascinatingly, the resulting scents are polar opposites thanks to the varying proportions of ingredients used. GF Silver is a cool, bright mineralic scent with aromatic and leather nuances, while GF Gold is a warm, powdery vanilla with a musky undertone, the more feminine-leaning yin to Silver's yang.

GFS opens with clean, cool juniper, crisply fresh and reminiscent of a refreshing G&T. Soft, peppery spices follow, marrying well with the aromatic juniper. It becomes steadily more mineralic as it develops, synthetic but clean and bright, the olfactory equivalent to its namesake.

A soft leather undertone emerges as it develops, a smooth progression from its aromatic opening. Some woodiness follows, and ambroxan smooths the edges as it dries down, tying it all together. It fades to a musky skin scent with mostly ambroxan with a mineralic edge remaining, coolly synthetic until final fade. Sillage and longevity are moderate. To me, it feels very masculine, and is reminiscent at times of designer masculines like Sauvage et al. It is a transeasonal, everyday scent.

As a standalone scent, GFS is a classy, good-quality modern masculine scent, in keeping with current trends, but nothing unusual. It is nicely-composed, and the juniper up top sets it apart somewhat while remaining safe and wearable. I appreciate the concept and artistry, but it is nothing extraordinary, especially considering its price. 3.5/5.

alexwebdesigner

Not sure wtf everyone else is smelling, because this is one of the most refreshing and luxurious scents I've ever had the pleasure of smelling (and I'm not new to the niche fragrance game).

This lasts a good 7+ hours, projects for about 5 on my skin, and pulls insane compliments.

If you're having a problem with the performance, just spray a couple more times...

Isomies

Have anybody weared Penhaligons Juniper Sling and compared this to MFK Gentle fluidity silver? I adore the Juniper Sling (earlier editions), but todays version longevity is so poor, maybe MFK Gfs could help the Juniper Sling last longer when layering together? Opinions& experiences welcome 🤗

Thatbwoy

I got this as a free sample.

I was weirdly excited to try it; though not of a fan of the whole MFK brand (Grand Soir is ok).

On initial impressions I was surprised to find that I was not disappointed by it. Then thought I over done time; “Where did I smell this before?”

And it’s this that’s the thing that makes me think about how much of a muchness this fragrance is. It’s powerful and long lasting but nothing about it says I would want to wear it on my skin.

Every time I go back to smell it the more I’m not impressed. It’s not bad, not great either, it’s just standard.

I don’t think Gentle Fluidity Silver is the one to get me on side with MFK

5/10

Mortekai

I thoroughly dislike this. I was extremely excited to get a decant, but it reminds me of how my grandmother smelled in her nursing home before she died. It really turns me off and I cannot get past it. I needed to wash off. Tried to give it a second go the next day but it wasn't happening... Scent memories can be a bitch sometimes :'(

Yessamin

Leans more masculine. I tried it on me but had to pass it on to my husband.

Pleasant but generic.

My tester card says:

Blur gender boundaries and be unconventionally free with this woody-amber eau de parfum. The soft, spicy heat of nutmeg from Indonesia, and the vibrant aromatic notes of juniper berries from Macedonia unfold around the luminous freshness of a musky, woody core.

RayCashhhh

@Darokes85 I wouldn't say they're insane, maybe they had a bad batch. I was one of those who felt that way, I had a full bottle that just didn't last. I just got a decant of it and sure enough, this has the performance that everyone is talking about. I wish the bottle I paid over $230 for performed like this, but oh well.

Darokes85

Please do not listen to folks saying this fragrance doesn’t perform well. They’re insane!

Ryahya

This is my purchase of MFK man wardrobe series review.

This is my favourite of the bunch, the blending is so good I really can't differentiate between the notes, so I would consider it a spicy aromatic musky fragrance. I thought it would be similar or at least be in the DNA of chanel platinum egoiste ( one of my fave ) but its so much better.

SPL is just ok, nothing monstrous.

saltywagonjuggler

I will concur that this is a very hard scent to describe (I am not doing it any justice by saying it smells like “spicy gin”). But it’s very good. It lasts for hours and is uniquely versatile. I’ve been looking for a high-quality everyday “silver” scent and this may be the one. A gem, in my opinion. 9/10

Sam Waris

Bought this fragrance in Malaysia in 2022, this fragrance was recommended to me by a friend and he was 100% correct with this being great in summer and all year round fragrance.

This fragrance is crisp, clean, masculine, fresh and very aromatic. During my trip in Malaysia, this fragrance cut through the heat and humidity and lasted very good throughout the day, these type of fragrance in other designer realm would maybe fade away in 2 - 3 hours, but that MFK have done here is superb and easily lasts for 6 hours on skin during high heat and humidity conditions.

If you want a fresh & clean that is not soapy or citrusy or that "blue type" because these types of fragrances have been done so much and its boring now. Gentle fluidity silver is something out of the ordinary, no matter how hot and humid the conditions are when you apply it you will always feel a sense of being fresh and clean, the aromatic structure is what stands out the most throughout the fragrance.

How does this fragrance smell like?

Well imagine yourself near fresh cut wood and add some sparkling water with fruits and random white flowers, its very hard to explain the fragrance to be honest.

TLDR:

Pros
- Fresh & aromatic
- All year round but works best in summer
- Great alternative to blue & fresh fragrances
- Good longevity and great sillage
- Good value for money (Because you are paying for the craftsmanship and the elegance).
- 6 hours easily during high heat and humid conditions.
- Underated (not many people will smell similar)

Cons
- Expensive price point
- Small quantity of fragrance, (its only 75 ml, but it should be 100 ml IMO)

Hrudas

According to reviews this fragrance seems to have some variety in performance. On me this performs incredibly good (batch 21116A from 2021-04-26). I can smell whiffs of myself after work when I get home 10 hours after applying it. In warm weather it feels crisp, cold and fresh. But I n a little colder weather I feel like the amber and vanilla comes through a bit more which makes this more versatile than I initially thought. If you want a fresh crisp fragrance that doesn’t smell like many other freshies, I think this one is a great pick.

Absolu Aventus

When you open the window and smell it while driving on a summer day, there is no better perfume than this one.

babypong

Clean herbal and fresh. the slight musk gives it a rich fragrance vibe. Light silage. Unfortunately this only lasts 3-4 hours for me. Really disappointing because the smell is so nice. Price does not make sense for the performance

pakistanstar

I dunno about you guys but my missus loves it when I dress up. Anything from a polo shirt and jeans to a full suit and tie, nothing gets her worked up more than me at my best. Gentle Fluidity Silver does that in fragrance form. Put yourself into a nice button up and your best chinos, a few sprays under your collar then take her out to dinner lads. A few G&Ts later and it's mission accomplished. Stay classy.

Odor Aeternitatis

This is more a luxurious fragrance than a niche or creative fragrance. It is very well-balanced and masterfully created but it does not have character. It's radiant with good sillage and gives you a sense of cleanness. It would work better with the above casual dress, to show that you wear an expensive fragrance.
Unlike the list of notes and accords, it's not very aromatic but has a balanced scent profile, which is and center of aromatic, woody, and ambery notes. It's musk heavy, clean and crisp. It also has some fruity aspect. The fragrance like this with bright and clear scent uses a high dose of synthetic material like Iso E Super and Hedion.

Overall, this is a great fragrance in terms of scent profile, longevity, and sillage but a lack of identity and character. The price is too high.

7.5/10

CatsAreBundles

Original freshie. Lasts about 4-5 hours, and has a smooth sillage. Up close it can smell a bit acrid/coarse. Is quite linear.

emil1724

Incredible fresh and almost transparent scent, that smells like a modern and somehow cleaner barbershop fragrance. The projection is soft yet noticeable, airy and smooth. The longevity is very good for such a fresh scent, looking at 6 hours with pretty decent projection as mentioned, and even longer as a skin scent. (in cold weather) It is for me a very masculine fragrance, and it will definitely be in my rotation once I get a hold of a full bottle.

Raul Claudiu

@timjaeger Are you really comparing the performance of oud for greatness with a fresh frag like mfk gfs?? Makes no sense, also gfs lasts and projects the whole day for me,if you sweat a little it awakens immediately.

RSulieman

If you enjoy Creed Aventus, then you might like this one more. It's less sweet with extra woodiness and muskiness to it. The fruitiness is berry centric instead of citrusy pineapple you'd get from Aventus. Leans more masculine, It's a win for me!

Scent: 9/10
Strength: 7.5/10

Mia80

It’s layer over layer, a lot of going in there. Definitely interesting, intriguing but… I like smells that give you an instant pleasure, love not a search for something far away. Still, not bad.

SA5001

Dont know what this was doing in the womens travel set would have much preferred grand soir, this is more masculine fresh spicy something I would expect a man to wear after a shower.

OHLAWDTOMFAWD

Love it. Clean, aromatic, refreshing and crisp. The cost is the deterrent however, especially for how long it lasts... it is gone within 2 hours on me.

pukpukgoo

It's a good fresh scent without citrus (which is found in most freshies) but on my skin the coriander is extremely pronounced. Great scent but not worth it for the price imo.

Glyph

As its title announces, this is subtle and smooth. It's one of the most understated, but also one of the nicest, gin-like fragrances I've ever encountered. You can tell by a sniff that this is composed of the best ingredients beautifully blended (the high quality shows itself immediately). The downsides are the price point, which is quite high (since this is MFK), and that this may be so gentle as to be nearly unnoticeable. The sillage is so low this is almost (but not quite) a skin scent on me.

I like this so much, but I doubt I would get a bottle because although if I wanted to smell like gin there would be no more elegant way, but I think if I wanted to smell like that I'd get something with more projection (like Charenton's Christopher Street). But I do admire this. It smells expensively of gin and regret--like Karen Walker on "Will & Grace."

UFChrisB

This is the most refreshing fragrance I've ever used. It's bright, crisp, cold and uplifting. It's the fragrance equivalent of splashing ice-cold water on your face. This fragrance instantly puts me in a better mood. The juniper berry in the opening is bracing and energizing. This is absolutely perfect for the hot, humid days of Summer, but would easily work in Autumn as well. A true year-round fragrance. This fragrance draws a lot of compliments for me.

zefragrancec

A cool smooth tonic scent, perf for hot summer days

It’s alright..but a bit underwhelming and very easy to get nose blind to it. One thing I don’t like about it it’s the fact that it reminds me a bit too much of cheaper Aventus inspired scents like Mont Blanc Explorer,it has that typical dry chemical smell to it. But there’s more to this, the opening is similar to Creed Himalaya, sharp, metallic, fresh and in the dry down I get a Platinum Egoiste vibe which is nice. Overall GFS is very versatile and mass appealing (you can’t really go wrong with it,it smells good, especially for non fragrance people this could be perceived as amazing) but to me it’s not inspiring, it’s just like a mix of successful male fragrances and definitely overpriced.

benwia87

I feel like this is more of a masculine scent. It reminds me of the traditional Old Spice or Polo warm spicy types of cologne. I was waiting to see if it lightened up a bit to give it more of a unisex feel, but it did not on me. I think it smells great, if not a bit heavy... But you can get the same vibe from other colognes for way less.

Radius

Piney, sweet, spicy, icey and cold silver is how I would describe it. Addictive as hell is what it is.

rmnnnnn

Another one that makes me smell like a tree branch. It's an interesting twist on Aventus, CDNIM, Explorer.

stink223

Smells amazing to me. I've smelled something similar in notes a long time ago but can't place it. I switch off between this and imagination and they both invoke that super clean, proper rich scent/// easy to wear year round! Best office friendly thing coming out of MFK since they dogged Masculin Pluriel.

wanderer123

I found the name intriguing and always find the perfumer interesting, even when I don't agree with a scent. This is a strong like for me. I don't know why. It's like a cousin of Platinum Egoiste. Maybe a little lighter. Maybe a more modern take? It smells clean. Masculine but not dominant. It smells like a spring or office scent. Maybe religious service, or wedding vibe? Not a club scent. One blast on my carotid and it's lasting hours later. I'm too fiscally conscious to buy all the niche frags but for me, it's splurge worthy. I have a bit bottle of PE so it would be almost redundant.

sorvaahr

I expected a bit more, honestly. Don't get me wrong, it's definitely very well blended, smooth as heck and the drydown is beautiful. But considering it's MFK and the price this goes at, it's good but not outstanding. Definitely a niche freshie. The opening is very similar to Creed's Himalaya to me, metallic and sharp from the juniper then dries down to a smooth, vanillic powdery musk. Lovely, but expensive for what it is. Lasts about 4 hours on my skin.

aabisogun

It has a nice, clean and spicy scent with a mixture of floral and fruity undertones. The woody base makes it lean more masculine of unisex but not overwhelmingly so.
Initial whiff is inviting and playful, and it settles down quite nicely too.
Alas! The longevity is somewhat lacking, although it lingers more on fabric than on skin. After about 4 hours, it becomes skin scent, therefore, quite disappointing for the price.
Still, the fragrance is nice while it lasts.
Rating: 7/10

smithaker

Was intrigued by the gin and tonic notes on a vanilla amber base, but they get a bit lost on my skin. The fragrance I get is pleasant but not very distinctive and thus not worth the spend for this one.

Fountain30

A bit too designerish for me

pilotdc

Been looking for a gin n' tonic perfume for the hot summer months. I like GFS a lot, but don't love. I'd have to love it to pay that amount for it. It smells a bit too green for a gin n' tonic accord. I think the coriander comes off a little strong on me so it's sort of an aftershave smell.
The search continues for that gin n' tonic scent that works for me.

alternateu

Sexy! It opens, aptly, bright and sharp and metallic ("silver", so aptly named), and has the crisp freshness of a gin and tonic. It dries down nice and herbal and lightly musky, and kind of smells like clary sage in the base. Smells like a sexy, reliable, middle-aged business professional. Would love to smell this on a man.

Scent: 9.5/10 - almost perfect, and I LOVE the base.
Longevity: Full day
Projection: Moderate
Polarity: Unisex to masculine

Bodog1986

If you're wanting a fresh clean summer fragrance that is different than the everyday blue/aquatic you always smell then this is it! That nice juniper/gin/tonic smells amazing in the air and gives you such a cooling sensation in hot weather. Although this is a summer staple I also enjoy this in the cool crisp air as well! It lasts forever on my skin and clothes. It's a 9/10 fir me easily.

Paul.Monk

Very clean, citrussy and masculine scent which is perfect for spring & summer. But nahh, for this price I know lots of better options.

Melody Valentine

I LOVE Gentle Fluidity Gold, but I'd never wear Silver. It's far too masculine for me. It's classed as unisex but I don't find it so, in the same way I find Gold very, very feminine. If you're a woman thinking of getting it I'd definitely get a tiny sample first because it's a typical men's aftershave. A good quality one, but not at all on the girly side. Fresh, clean, gin smelling aftershave basically.

istvan.buda.779

I really don't like this one. Something offputting to my nose, maybe too metallic?!
Every time I wear it I realize I could of wear something better
If robots in The Matrix would have a. smell this would be it

jasmin217

I have the 70ml bottle of this and I do not regret buying it even though it is quite expensive.
I like the smell so much. It is inspired of a gin n tonic. In the beginning I get a nice touch of juniper berries, musk and woody notes. All that makes it a aromatic smell. As it dry downs, the Vanilla and Amber notes take the lead, the opening notes are still there but they are not that loud as in the opening.

The longetivity is very good on my skin, I can not understand the majority of people that are saying the longetivity isn't good. I get about 11 hours of it.

However, the sillage is not that great for the price. It projects ok, nothing special though (moderate). The sillage is the reason that you need to spray this fragrance about 5-6 times, especially in the cooler days (Yes, this is a fragrance that can be worn all the seasons, its fresh and spicy so no problem for winter). Spraying it 5-6 times really hurts because its a expensive fragrance. The sillage is the only negative point.

Gentle fluidity silver is a unisex fragrance, although it leans more masculine for me (I am a man).

Overall I give it a 9,5 (not a 10 because of the sillage) I really like this fragrance, it is one of the best I have smelt in my life, this is even my signature scent. What a masterpiece this is!

(This is my first review so it is probably not that good🥲)

Sol0013

I got this together with a bunch of four other niche samples. I sprayed them all on my arms and all I can smell is Gentle Fluidity! The other samples include rather strong perfumes from PDM and Killian!

SRusackas

Fresh and clean, but not in a “sport” fragrance way. There is an unusual metallic note in the beginning that (on me) lasts about 30minutes or so, then leaves behind a mild gin that is subtle and delicate and seems to last a while. I would wear this to an evening with business partners or in a group. It’s mild and non offensive. Not very interesting though.

seliko

a unisex scent leaning masculine, fresh and charismatic without leaning “sporty”. rather elegant while maintaining a certain persona thanks to the aromatic overtake on freshness. i am a very feminine person yet i really enjoyed carrying this scent. elegant confidence is essential to carry this fragrance, i think it even adds to one’s feminine representation due to a slight contrast on what you’re wearing and how you’re carrying it. wear white with this scent, it works beautifully…

DEXTER99

It's very nice but in the dry down for me it's remind me of layton exclusive but layton is much heavier and stronger for autumn and winter and this one very much lighter and airy for summer and spring.

Edit: after few months of testing and wearing , so far it becomes addictive and so fast becomes my signature scent I felt in love with it, which forced me to order 200ml backup bottle, it's really that good.

R.diggity

Of all the unisex white musk fragrances, this is the most balanced. The musk is subtle enough where it doesn’t remind you of your aunt smoking Kools in the 80s, and not synthetic-detergent, headache inducing. Has a slight neroli vibe. Woods and ambers are perfectly grounding. Go to fancy summer scent.

Breathing in the Wake

Clean, crisp, and long-lasting. It opens up with a fresh blend of berries, musk, and sweetness. The individual notes aren't detectable to my nose and it seems to be quite linear. It remains the same from start to finish. This is nuclear. Every time I wear it, I continue to get compliments from random strangers long after I've forgotten it was there. A must-have for those spring and summer days.

Bigmike650

I’ve been looking to add this to my collection for quite some time now. If anyone has a bottle of this they’d be willing to trade send me a message so we can negotiate a swap exchange

mihais

This perfume is everything a man might want. Its gorgeous, elegant, sexy, timeless and it lasts a loooooong time.

I don’t understand why it only has a 4.10 in here, which usually means a mediocre fragrance. This is as close to perfect as a fragrance can be. Severely underrated.

FourthSense

A synthetic start in the base that I couldn't stand. It might be due the coriander. Not sure.
I was at one of my local niche stores in Oslo, where due to the hype, I decieded to make GFS part of my collection. But before I pay for it and leave, I decieded to try it on my skin. I got right away so disappointed. I stayed a while to let the parfume develop, but no. The synthetic odor was still in the base. I ended buying MFK Masculin Pluriel. A beautiful creation. Sorry community, MFK GFS is not for everyone, and there is just a lot of hype around it. Try it before you buy it is my suggestion.

Fragboy702

How's nobody mentioning how this was inspired by green Irish tweed? It reminds me so much of GIT but with more juniper berries.

JusttheFactsMan

#173 in my "Tour de Fragrance." My third MFK frag, and they remain on a roll. Okay, MFK's "Baccarat Rouge" is the most popular, and agreed it's very good, but not "Grand Soir" level good, which 172 frags into my tour had remained "King of the Hill" for me. Until now!

Gentle Fluidity Silver ain't in any way shape or form a "unisex" frag. Who are we kidding? This stuff is testosterone-dripping, 1960's executive suite, gin and tonic swilling manly, with a level of suit and tie formality (despite that grape soda note), even elegance. Like they took a Geoffrey Beene's "Bowling Green", said, "Aw Hell, we can do way better than that!" and brought it into the 21st century.

For me this is an office/business dinner fragrance, not a date night scent like Grand Soir, but still, I think this scent is just pure genius and checks many boxes, though with unfortunately average longevity and sillage, not the 12-hour endurance of Grand Soir. Nevertheless, though like all MFK it's expensive as hell, as I did with Grand Soir, I'm biting the bullet and ordering the full bottle of this frag anyway.

BotanicalBrilliance

Fantastic!!! It's so unique and fresh! I could see myself wearing this all seasons as its fresh but also spicey in a great way. Finally a spicey scent that's fresh and not cloying in the heat.

HisNoseKnows

..."and sniffed me out like I was Tanqueray..." 10/10.

AlexandraRoseD

Fresh, clean and aromatic. Well blended with good longevity (above 8 hours, spraying only on cotton / natural fabrics clothes).

Perfect for these hot summer days!

Wearing it for the office and it does not smell masculine on me (I'm usually not into sweet smells). Suitable for men also.

Manlikekoi

Gentle Fluidity Silver has a clean and fresh out the shower soap like quality to it. Lasts 12 hrs plus with about an arms length sillage. Gentle Fluidity Silver is an age 30 and up masculine scent. Can be worn in any season, day or night.

Justforreviews

This was my signature scent for half a year. Performance will get you through most of the day and sillage is strong for the first few hours after that becomes a nice musky scent that sits closer to the skin. Did not gather as much compliments as I would have hoped but it is a perfect masculine scent that can be used for casual and business settings.

Leeben1993

On my skin it just smells like straight up Gin Tonic with strong emphasis on the Juniper, yet I still can say if I'm into that or not lol.
I think the biggest issue was it was very linear and just stayed Gin smelling for the whole wear.
I heard it could be layered with the GF gold but even if so, thats very pricey.

FragMaster

Nice but sadly doesn’t work on my skin. Comes off overly pungent on me

tybaltsway

Something screechy in there that makes me a little bit queasy for some reason. Reminds me of a product that my 70-year old dad uses and not in a good way. I love Gentle Fluidity Gold and I love juniper so had high expectations, but the metallic note is too harsh for me :(

JonnyBadass

This is a zingy fresh fragrance. Love the juniper note. Makes you feel fresh, clean and classy! Just the right amount of musky sweetness. I have limited wear on this so far but it’s already a favorite, however I don’t feel like it projects very well and goes away quick unless you use 8-10 sprays. Which is painful to do with its hefty price tag and smaller bottle size.

vtboyarc

Opens with a fresh, fizzy blast of juniper berries with some spice, not jarring, but an exceptionally polished, vibrant spice. It’s refreshing and stimulating. As it evolves over the next thirty minutes or so the heart starts to emerge, where the nutmeg takes center stage, bringing a spicy and woody complexity that’s both elegant and enticing. The juniper berries persist, but in a softer manner, harmonizing beautifully with the newly unveiled nutmeg. As the juniper recedes over time, the nutmeg sustains its subtle, exotic spiciness, flawlessly melding with the vanilla base for an exquisite creamy evolution, all the while ensuring it does not become overly sweet, thanks to the musk and woods acting as a counterbalance. This leads to a warm, sweet, yet perfectly balanced ending that lingers on my skin for several hours. It consistently maintains a pleasing, welcoming aura around me, never becoming overpowering or cloying. A remarkable choice for any time of the year. Longevity: 5-6 hours

JrossiLeFleur

Such a gorgeous and unique scent. Intoxicating. Has an edgy feel to me. This is the cool girl in the leather moto jacket, white tshirt, and the perfect vintage jeans. The opening is like a sparkly gin and tonic with coriander. Excellent projection and lasts a long time. Dries down woody and ambery with a spiciness I can’t quite name, it’s almost like a (dare I say 😬) whiff of cigarette smoke. I mean that in the best possible way though. This scent is just a whole vibe. This is what I would have wanted to wear on a night out to the Viper Room in 1994. Cool edgy fragrance that takes a bit of confidence to really it off, but damn. It’s so SO good. My fav from MFK.

marcio.moniz

To my nose, this smells like Creed Himalaya, like in the same category.

CappSure

Unique opening. Unique body of cool juniper and coriander, woody base reminiscent of a smoothed out Elysium. Everything is so smooth, the Amber was definitely another unique and wonderful move for this. Very unique yet very agreeable and easy to wear. Performance is stellar. Well done. 8.5/10

HES2

Goes on like a fizzy grape soda before drying down to the actual notes. VERY good with moderate performance and good for the warm weather or anytime. 5 - 7 sprays worked great! I agree with the reviewer that said "Begins with fresh juniper berries with an undercurrent of coriander and musk. The coriander and musk are nice with the ambery woods and hint of vanilla. Fresh clean scent and leans more masculine. Going to get heavy run for me this summer." Oh, and the price really sucks!!!!

Nate_915

I don’t see how people complain about the performance of this. It lasts and lasts and lasts.

W33d3!!!

Just got my bottle and wearing it now. Begins with fresh juniper berries with an undercurrent of coriander and musk. The coriander and musk are nice with the ambery woods and hint of vanilla. Fresh clean scent and very masculine. Going to get heavy run for me this summer.

CzarSalad

Looking to cover up the smell of the gin you guzzle in your car by applying MFKs Gentle Fluidity Silver! Congrats now you have two crippling addictions, alcohol and fragrance!

Iridescent Bee

This is the holy grail of fragrances. I can not get enough of it. It's flawless.

Pure, exquisite, opulent, and just the perfect amount of everything.

Absolutely unique and one in a million. *chef's kiss*

jusknow

Sampling a lot of more higher-end freshies and this one reminds me of Dylan blue but with juniper berries. They both are fresh but with an amber-y base. I like this but no way at that price

mihais

I bought this as a blind buy on an impulse, and I had some big buyers remorse before I smelled it. Someone said in the comments "Aventus with gin tonic" which sounds ridiculous, too good to be true. Oh well, that's pretty much the vibe that I get it. Of course, don't expect it to match 100% that description, but the vibe is close. Absolute fucking banger, and the best thing? The bottle is 4 years old, which, judging by other comments, is before the reformulation. And for sure, it seems to have good performance.

John Novitini

The best clean summer fragrance I've tried. The juniper in this sets it apart from every other "clean" fragrance out there. You won't smell like clean laundry like you will with so many different summer/fresh fragrances. This makes you smell like a field of wild juniper and flowers but in a fresh, clean, masculine way. This is my go-to everyday wear in warmer weather. The longevity is excellent; it last about 8 hours on my skin and projects pretty well but isn't overwhelming.

290kenko

Aventus with shaving foam

Yungbrooklyn93

At first I didn’t like it , but good thing I tried it again it’s 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

alittleofeverything

I sampled this having read about it as a "shower fresh" unisex scent. I'm a firm believer that fragrance has no gender and everyone should wear what they want - BUT.

But.

To my nose this is every generic "macho male" run-of-the-mill-aftershave mixed up with intensity dialed to max.

I love every single note in listed. Every one, yet this scent is giving me a headache and I *never* gets headaches from perfume.

Scrubber for me.

httrung32

Gentle Fluidity Silver is a refined fragrance that smells like a gin and tonic with a twist. It starts with a zing of juniper berries and coriander, which makes me feel like I’m at a comedy club. I laugh so hard that I almost spit out my drink. Then it becomes smooth and suede-like with musk and amber wood, which makes me feel like I’m on a date with James Bond. He whispers in my ear that I smell amazing. I reply that he smells shaken, not stirred. Finally, it settles into a cozy and sweet blend of vanilla and nutmeg, which makes me feel like I’m cuddling with a teddy bear that tells me jokes that make me giggle. The fragrance has a moderate sillage that lasts for hours, and I get so many nice and boring compliments when I wear it, like, "Mmmh, you smell so good!", "What is the scent that you wearing?" It’s a great scent for the office and brunches where you gather around and talk shit about other people, and it suits any mood or season. I love it and I think you will too if you like elegant overly expensive freshies.

LeatherCouch

Yes,i get the Green Irish Tweed comparison.
This fragrance is clean, shaving foam-like and classy. Longevity is great, projection could be better. It is an eau de toilette, after all.

cpsottak

I discovered MFK at the start of my niche journey years ago and have been experimenting with gentle fluidity for quite some time. From samples to travel sprays to full bottles, and i found that Gentle Fluidity works better together

These perfumes are groundbreaking together, a fragrance so luxurious and unique and absolutely head turning.

Silver is a strong projector, and sits great atop gold which is a base heavy perfume which will enhance the longevity of silver. A great fragrance on its own, but it lacks without gold in my opinion. And likewise gold seems to be lacking without silver.

These two fragrances are worth trying together, you may like them enough on their own, but i personally feel these are better together, and I couldn’t wear one without the other. These were made to be layered, and when layered right, it’s a truly magical experience.

Bravo MFK, bravo.

Hojubaby

Finally pulled the trigger on this one after 3 years of contemplating... its my favorite scent from mfk after grand soir, i just wish it lasted a bit more but it will do. Definitely a summer, smooth citrusy and creamy scent
10/10

Tato Chkhenkeli

Attention:
Smells like teens spirit. Kidding😊 to me, it smells like Creed - Green Irish Tweed and I love it. Its more in the sweet direction than GIT. I don't think it will perform as huge as GIT, but, anyway, it's wonderful fragrance

Dessert Chic

This is quite masculine on me. I just get a general men's cologne smell; nothing nuanced or special. For me the musk is just really overpowering, but I tend not to like musk smells. It might be okay on my husband, but for the cost I just dont get any unique or special here.

jessica_chinos

This fragrance is for men, in my opinion. Smells clean, but not luxurious. It smells like zest soap, I wouldn't like to smell it on a man. Is not annoying, but not sexy or luxurious. There are better men's fragrances with more affordable price tags.

st_ch

Smells like a lychee...

Keenz

WOW!

This is currently my favorite MFK, and signature scent. I own bottles of BR540, Oud Satin Mood, Grand Soir, Aqua Celestia (2nd favorite) , Aymris Homme but i’m addicted to this scent.

The opening has a burst of sweeteners, that quickly turns metallic, and for a few minutes it has an accord that reminds me of David Off’s cool water.

It then morphs into the most intoxicating woody, green, fresh but somewhat spicy scent my mind has experienced.

The Longevity is great, i’m getting easily 9+ hours.
Great projection.

It starts becoming a skin after 8ish hours, but the silage is still amazing. And this thing will beam off if your body beats up or you outside in the summer heat.

I’m currently budgeting getting a 200ml or another 70ml ad my backup bottle… i never want to be out of this juice.

Hippocampus24

Ultimately I would classify this as a woody fragrance, and i will keep it in my repetoire and i will tell you why:
it's fresh and green at the top like people say, but then, yes it's like being in the woods with a little bit of spice to it. The danger of it being too powdery is cut by the spice. And it's a mellow spice, not all in your face like some of them. As such, yeah it is a nice day fragrance. The other reason i will be keeping it is the longevity. It's hard to find perfumes that are subtle, but notable AND last a while. I usually wear aquatic scents but I like to mix it up. As other people have noted, don't do this as a blind buy. Either spray it in a store, or order a small vial from micronet or another online perfume place. That's what i did, and i am glad i did because I have been experimenting with it all day (something you can't do in the store obviously) to see how long it lasts etc. Also this is a more expensive scent, so wise to try it a bit first.
Nice job maison francis!

discardedandroid

Fresh, fresh, fresh. Quite unisex. This reminds me of purple Fun Dip candy powder. Somewhat overrated, but super inoffensive and clean. Recommend.

DStace

This is a gorgeous clean fragrance. Clean like fresh laundry. Clean like the best picture of Switzerland you’ve seen on insta.

It’s so nice and lovely.

I was worried the juniper note would be too prominent as I’m not a fan of ‘boozy’ fragrances. But it is subtle and blended beautifully.

Probably a day time fragrance. Office friendly. Not overpowering at all. People around you might just assume it’s your fabric softener rather than a fragrance, but the nicest fabric softener you can’t buy.

I can imagine this could team up to make some awesome fragrance combinations.

between musk

I think MFK best perfume is this one, I also love oud satin mood series and bacarrat too.
and many people feedback me it's like a aventus creed.

HueloBien

I love it.
The opening has a green and metallic blast.
At the open, for the first 10-15seconds, reminds me of Chanel Platinum Egoiste. After that, it does its own thing.
Very clean, fresh, and crisp.
This is an office friendly. Spring and Summer parting with family and friends, wearing a crisp white shirt, sunglasses, pants or shorts, and having fun. A nice for a night out in the city.
I think for a date would be too much, but for anything else, perfect.

For those complaining about summer fragrances that don’t last long, get this one.

Longevity is nice. 8-9 hour and still there.
Projection is quite nice too for a freshy.
Hour 1-2, is about 1-2 feet.
Hour 3-5, it projects about your elbow length.
After hour 6, closer to your skin, BUT, if your body/pressure points heat up, it pushes out again.
I constantly get whaps until hour 7-8.
After 8th hour is a skin scent.

I got a backup bottle because I think I will wear the heck out of this thing during spring, and summer this year.

Great MFK fragrance.

asiarakk

Silver version is masculine, gold version - feminine (in my option). But I can see both genders can wear any of them. Depends on who you are and what vibe you want to project.

Very clean and green, cool and airy scent. Smells expensive, calm and intellectual.
Not a blind buy. Spring.
Test few times on your skin before buying!!

Sterben9225

Gentle Fluidity is the perfect title for this fragrance. It smells woody, green and both warm and fresh at the same time. Easy to wear and mass appealing but lacks in projection, which is surprising when you compare it to other MFK fragrances. One of my favorite scents personally but unfortunately does not preform well.

KerriZ

This is such an interesting fragrance. It was a shot of emerald green like walking through a thickly wooded conifer forest. A healthy shot of spice. It dried down to a soft wood scent close to the skin. It lasted longer on me than some of the other reviewers here. I liked it.Not enough for a full bottle but interesting.

Snozzberry

Quite unisex; leans masculine in the opening, but more feminine in the dry down. It's pleasant, but not worth the money for such weak and disappointing performance. This was gone from my skin within 2 hours, and didn't stick even with multiple reapplications. Nice gin-like opening, which disappears almost immediately and mellows out into a weak shampoo smell, as many of MFK's "fresh" scents seem to do.

ch03np

This didn’t last the way I wanted it to on my skin (which, admittedly, is like a sponge for most fragrances—makes the hobby so miserable). There’s a sort of bitter astringency to the formulation: juniper but more of the stem, less of the berry. Airy, but doesn’t smell like laundry detergent despite my preconceptions. Smells more like… sniffing a bottle of gin, maybe? I don’t know. I really expected some kind of radiant sillage, but the description of this being “moderate” is accurate, though on my skin it dries to an intimate clean musk pretty quickly. I like it! Brings to mind what I would assume people with the “coriander soap” gene would perceive real coriander as. I just wish it was more monstrous and radiant. Your milage may vary, as always.

Spinaltap

Everyone has their own opinions, but to my nose this is very unisex, really nothing masculine about it to either me or my wife.

It’s a clean and slightly green experience. I really dislike green fragrance normally, but I rather like this. Most appropriate for spring and summer and I’m still smelling it (skin scent) 8-10 hours later.

I would be surprised if anyone was offended by this (assuming an appropriate amount of sprays…because overspraying to me is a real thing).

Silencer1

Regarding this fragrance being masculine vs unisex: both Gentle Fluidity Silver and Gentle Fluidity Gold were designed to lean unexpectedly masculine or feminine, respectively - despite using the exact same note pyramid.

Hence the play on words 'Gentle Fluidity' (read: Gender Fluidity). So its no coincidence that MFK arranged the same notes (DNA) of each fragrance differently, to make each version the opposite version of itself, much in the way that the same Human DNA can yield a Brother & Sister .

derby2169

Gentle Fluidity Silver may be my favorite offering from MFK, it delivers arguable the most authentic gin opening I have smelled so far, and this comes from someone infusing their own gin for the last few years (second is probably Frapin l'Humaniste). A clean aromatic juniper berry is blended with tart citrus notes, which may not be listed, but coriander is largely made up of linalool compounds which remind of bergamot so the effect is similar. So overall quite a bright and aromatic opening which becomes sweeter and sweeter as time passes, the core and base revealing an interesting constellation of large damp clean musks with a slight metalic feel as well as an aromatic/herbal facet that dominates the dry down, perhaps more of the coriander with some evergreen touches in the base.

Overall a fantastic opening with a bit of a rigid dry down which was clearly designed to allow for massive projection and longevity.
I wonder if the inspiration of the Fluidity line is Chanel Egoiste and it's platinum counterpart. Indeed Gentle Fluidity Silver reminds me of Egoiste Platinum, not in terms of scent, but rather in genre, with herbal dry woody notes blending with sweet and metallic notes to produce a fresh and crisp result.
Overall, very nice, imo nothing can justify MFK prices, but I may grab a discounted bottle if I come across a good offer.

JakamoFiNaYe

This is the unicorn I’ve been searching for!

Fresh, slightly green, just warm enough, transparent yet present, with the softest woods rounding it out. This has near universal likability, but separates itself from the pack with its class and quality.

Highly recommended!

SamaAndTheCosmo

Ahh, I couldn't put my finger on it.. juniper berries! It evokes to me a cool summer evening at a rooftop terrasse after a hot scorching day.. hair still wet from after the pool, worn in a sleek high bun. Skin glowing, wearing a crisp collar white buttoned tunic... It so similar to a gin tonic! This is the scent I imagine old money folks wear while cruising down the French Riviera... I love this perfume! Very beautifully blended

tlivas

i still remember the first time i smelled this fragrance june 2022… fresh, crisp, slightly sweet, and definitely woody.

this seems to… speak to who i am, and is definitely worthy of being my first signature scent!!!

i don’t think this can be offensive to anyone, although it’s a bit pricey, i don’t think there are many other fragrances that smell like it so it’s worth that unique factor.

al-lewinsky

I have mixed feelings on this. While it is unisex, I feel it leans more so into being masculine. It's fresh and citrusy - hence, me feeling meh about it. I have a track record of hating these kinds of notes, but oddly, they don't come off as too untolerable here. Just alright ... it also gives me a bit of headache when I wear it, but again, there is a note in this that doesn't make me totally turned off from it. And it's a bummer I can't figure out which is it. Longevity on this is amazing though, you still smell it even after a shower, so that's a plus. An elevated clean scent for sure.

Praxic

A cool, herbal freshie

Opening: juniper berries and a hint of coriander.

Dry down: Settles into a warm musky scent with a bit of a clean vibe almost like clean laundry.

Longevity: Long Lasting
Sillage: Strong
Gender: More Male
Price Value: Overpriced

Personal Note:
I really like this fragrance. Perhaps if you have that cilantro gene, it may come off a little strange. I've had someone comment saying it smells of cilantro and they straight up did not like it.

I've worn this on a night out and it definitely projects well enough for me. It lasts quite a while as well. If you like green as well as fresh scents, I recommend this. Doesn't smell like anything else you can find in a department store.

Violet28

This fragrance is just not for me. I absolutely love it but it's more masculine leaning and would be great for my boyfriend. I may purchase of for Valentine's Day. I prefer Gentle Fluidity Gold or even Grand Soir over this.

gage foster

Still one of my favorites after 3 years but, the newer bottle smells weaker on me. :(

tarotako

The first time I sprayed this on my wrist, I felt the sharp zing of the juniper note as everybody described. It is masculine and powerful, which normally I wouldn't care for. This scent; however, made me feel very nostalgic and comforted as I take in more of it. Since my fiance has a love for making drinks, this scent reminds me of us enjoying his gin and tonic, gimlet, and many other drinks. I just sat on my couch spaced out as the scent mellowed into a woods/musky scent, which I found surprisingly comforting. Personally, I wouldn't wear this scent, but I would love to smell it off of him. I may be biased, though, but this is one of the greatest scents I've smelled! :)

dabeyondobsessedemperor

Okay I agree with most of everything that’s been said here so far: this means business. It vaguely reminds me of the Mercedes Benz scent freshener. It smells like how I imagine a powerful, wealthy chairman would smell like, as the scent profile reads very professional, office-safe yet not subtle in the slightest. Spicy, the juniper berries really stand out and dominate the other “background notes” and as mentioned previously, lend a gin-like effect. I’d imagine myself wearing Gentle Fluidity silver to professional or business environments, like seminars, conferences, etc. as it genuinely smells like power and influence.

Another plus for this fragrance is that longevity is on absolute beast mode. I wore three sprays of this after taking a shower in an airport lounge, spent an hour in duty free, boarded a 16-hour flight, waited almost two hours in US customs upon landing, and took an hour-long Uber home, yet I could still smell this on myself when I entered my apartment. I didn’t reapply, not even once. So if you’re looking for a businessman’s scent that lasts forever, Gentle Fluidity silver is the jackpot you’re looking for.

This smells like a cold, slightly metallic cologne. The name definitely gives the vibe. I can’t think of anything specific that this reminds me of and yet it feels like a generic cologne somehow. I’m hoping I’ll like it more in the summer. That said, it’s inoffensive and I think would have fairly wide appeal.

Acidula

A very good masculine scent, one of my favorite from the discovery set. I don't sense any vanilla, but I do sense the juniper and a lot of green notes. A modern daddy scent (in a positive way)

awambs

A beautiful scent- leaning too masculine for my liking.

Caramelle

Clean, sharp and spicy and masculine on my skin. I didn't like it at all as a female.

laura710

Oh god... I really dislike this one. Unexpectedly. It is very masculine to my nose, definitely not unisex. It smells really sharp and borderline nauseating and headache inducing. Performance is strong. The juniper and the nutmeg are the strongest notes to my nose.

Jackie2Tobey

This is a beautiful unisex leaning towards men scent. Soft, musky, woody, but light, amber, vanilla. Only noted the juniper berries in the initial notes and then gone. Could be work any time as it stayed very close to the skin. Lasted 6-8 hours. Very nice but would be more suited for my husband. Lovely though. Will keep looking for that special scent.

cbrewerton

I don’t love it, but I do like it and I can see why this scent is nearly universally loved.

To me, when I see notes like amber and vanilla in the base, I expect the scent to have a little sweetness, but personally, I don’t detect any at all. Due to its lack of sweetness, I have a hard time sitting in my own scent bubble for long periods of time while wearing this as my nose gets really bored. The longer I smell it, the more stale it starts to smell to me.

If the vanilla or amber were turned up just a little bit, this would be a love from me

fragSkywalker

I have tested (and wore) every single MFK offering and this one without a doubt is my favorite from the house.
It has a very special place in my humble collection.
Because this is a warm weather fragrance without any citrus.
Don't get me wrong
I love citrus frags. But this one is so unique. And yet so familiar
The juniper berry note is very prominent here.
It is a very uplifting scent and I love to wear it in spring and summer
Longevity and silage is not monster mode, but pretty decent for a warm weather frag.
I also wear in indoors in a climate controlled environment in cold weather too
It has a hefty price tag but I think it's well worth it.
This , alongside with Roja Elysium, are my holy grills for summer

I just received Gentle Fluidity Silver in the mail (was a blind buy) and upon initial spray and dry down to me this fragrance smells like you just walked into Sephora and or Lush the bath bomb store. It definitely smells like a CEO type of fragrance like others have mentioned however I definitely get Lush bath bomb vibes as well as a hint of De Bleu Chanel (Sephora).

QuincesI

To my nose, it's mostly a veil of very light musk, with a tiny hint of spice; or the feeling of a good gin that's a bit special, an arranged gin.

I also have a vague impression of something watery floral, not really sure what, but it seems I'm the only one and my nose may be tricking me. It's beautiful, well crafted, and the "ah what do I smell?" effect is definitely present at the first few sniffs.

But beyond that, I think it's a very cold perfume and it lacks a little extra soul. It becomes more aromatic-dry on the drydown, which I think for the moment relatively unpleasant.

Well done, but not a perfume that will have deeply touched me. So indeed, it's possible to find something similar at a lower price (I still have to find what).

Terqish

I came across this while trying to find a perfume for my girlfriend last Xmas. Spent two weeks trawling perfume departments and collecting blotters inside little plastic bags and taking them home, must have ended up with over a hundred. I then went through them all rigourously, smelling each sample one by one, eliminating those I didn't like and keeping those that I did, then repeating the process. Now I've never been particularly interested in fragrances but I really enjoyed this job.

Anyway, I quickly came to the conclusion that MFK Gentle Fluidity Silver (stupid name) was a touch too masculine for my girlfriend but I was captivated by the smell. Despite ruling it out as a purchase I just kept coming back to it - it's intoxicating and addictive. I don't have a refined nose for these things but this scent feels warm and exotic, without being overpowering, but also managing to feel fresh and crisp. It's a quite unique scent I'd never come across before, I loved it.

Now a year on and it's Xmas again. This is on my wish list.

denimherb

Finally, I had a chance to wear this fragrance. I had a hard time searching/testing what would be my signature scent till I found this beautiful fragrance.

1. Signature Scent worthy.
2. Unique scent profile. Doesn't smell generic at least to my nose (like most people wear everywhere like Aventus, Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, Dylan Blue, etc)
3. Very clean, classy, sophisticated fresh, musky powdery scent.
4. Great for Day/Night/Date scent (Super versatile!)
5. Performance is superb. Lasts all day and still projects even I sweat. :)
6. The downside is the price, $200+ is too much for 70ml. Get the 200ml instead. (but still, it's too pricey!) haha

Rating: 9/10 (if the price isn't an issue I'll give it a 10/10)

One of the best creations of Francis Kurkdjian!

drixma

Signature scent for a year now,my scent profile, makes me happy, excited and comfy at the same time. Hit the spot right on it!

Honkymagoo

I've had a sample of this for awhile and it's probably my next buy. Wore it to bed with a girl the other night and she was buried in my chest saying how good I smell. I think this is a classy, intimate fragrance. Perfect for a date / romantic setting or out at a cozy bar. The gin + tonic feel would definitely match a night out; though I see this leaning more class and less trash.

Cosmin David

The juniper berry dominates in the dry down accompanied by some of the corriander and musk. Its sweet but with a warmth to it. Strongly unisex but when a man wears it just shouts look at me im confident.
The longevity kinda sucks on skin but on clothes its good.
Overall 9/10

FaisalBio

It used to be strong. I think it’s reformulated.

This is my signature scent in summer. If you are looking for good alternative then get Chanel platinum Egoiste it smell by %80 similar.

My rating
8/10
If the performance as it used to be I will give it 9.5/10.

Melissaluvsperfume

Sadly I feel this has been reformulated since it first came out… it used to be amazing with performance and sillage now it doesn’t last nearly half as long. So sad because it’s expensive.

Tinybluejacket

I had my scent for 7 years and wanted something new. Something fresh, yet with a bit of warmth and sweetness, something that was super unique that I can claim as "my scent". I tried over 20 fragrances, wore them for a few days and none of them stuck to me. The MOMENT I smelled Gentle Fluidity Silver, gurl, was I in love. Then I wore it for a few days and knew, this is IT. The way the scent develops and dries on your skin is just absolutely stunning. Juniper berries are quite prominent and it is truly so so good. I am not sure how but it also has some citrus notes in it. All in all, it's fresh, smells rich(as it should), classy yet playful. I see a lot of comments about longevity, what I noticed - it lasts for DAYS on fabric and around 7-10 hours on skin, at least for me personally. Definitely worth the money.

Trishaaa

I wasn't expecting the juniper berry to be so prominent in the dry down but I absolutely love it! The first spray had a lot more wood and citrus and had similar qualities to other masculine freshies but this had more depth to it than those by a fair bit. Unfortunately the longevity was not good at all and it became a skin scent on me almost immediately. Definitely got that masculine vibe to it but as a woman I will still wear it as it balances with other notes that make it unisex friendly as well. Not bad!

pearlshiloh

Love this scent from MFK. I would say it is among my "signature" scents, as much as someone with many perfumes can have a signature scent. I am a sucker for Juniper berries and so this hits well for me. To the dismay of some other users, I get monstrous performance from this one. Pretty good projection but insane longevity. Maybe I am sensitive to the ingredients in this one, but I swear I took a flight from MA to CA/traveled all day, and could easily catch wiffs of the dry down on me 10+ hours later. One of those addicting scents. Starts with a decent amber, vanilla, juniper vibe. If you smelled its counterpart, the Gold version, you will know what I am talking about. It is actually a really cool concept Francis K did with the Gold and Silver, almost like a perfume palindrome. Either way, this one goes stronger on the juniper berry and woods, so it is as if it gives you a taste of the Gold edition with juniper berries in the intro, and then quickly (probably 15-20 mins) transitions into a heavy woodsy juniper berry which is just delightful. Blend is magnificent. Def one of the hitters from MFK. I am fanboy of the house, so def bias, but don't like all of his. This one would have to be my favorite of his house.

banksia

I love this scent so much, but the performance is so bad! After 3 hours with 2 sprays I can't smell it at all... Very disappointing because the smell itself is incredible.

lapequenita

That is a masterpiece of a fragrance. To me it smells like a cold gin and tonic on a summer night. Bitter, green with lots of juniper and some citrus nuances.
I could wear if myself, but I love it more on my partner. Classy, fresh, masculine leaning.

Cpb

On my skin it turns very woody and musky. It almost reminds me of the woodiness that I get from Hacivat. Great fragrance. I can really pick out the juniper and coriander but it's so clean and fresh and woody. Great frag. Make sure to try on skin

Clauder13

A really clean scent!
Fantastic for everyday wear.
I get that juniper berries immediately in the opening and surprisingly it doesn't fade away it remains part of the scent even in the dry down.
This comes off soapy, spicy and fresh like a clean laundry almost and definitely gives a cooling feel like ice.
This stuff lasts! A really strong scent in my opinion projects heavily so you might wanna go easy on the trigger as you could easily fill a room and i'm sure no one will complain because of how clean this is.
BIG LOVE!

RamenBandit

Slightly generic for what MFK usually produces in this line, however, I cant knock it really for that - its got that slight green/coniferous aspect to it that sets it apart from your other mass appealing scents out there which really does make it appealing. It does seem to have a nod towards BR540 but more on the masculine side for me. The only downside was that I didnt seem to be getting great performance off my skin.

JoyDivision

At first, I thought this was too masculine for me to pull it off but the musk and the vanilla sweeten it at dry out. The citrus notes are very prominent on my skin. It's complex, bitter, and citrusy with some sweet notes. It turns into a cold skin scent but my whole office smells amazing.
I bought it for both me and my husband but he finds it too generic (zero idea on perfume notes and gourmands), so I guess I'll be doing the wearing.

not-a-house-a-l'homme

I'm selling a 70mL bottle of this for $210 with free shipping, message me for the details.

Fantastic, sophisticated, special occasion fragrance that will work for classier guys.

stalal

I really want to like this because it will look great with rest of my MFK bottles. But it smells like sweet rubbery bitterness (go figure) which is overwhelming. It smells like pleather to my nose and not in a good way. And then it lasts and lasts! The sweetness I am talking about is the typical MFK note but that rubbery bitterness is very close to 125th Bloom/ Harlem Bloom (by Vilhelm Perfumerie). I don't get any of the citruses, juniper or any other notes people praise it for.

Aland2020

At first I was hit with the feeling that I’ve smelled this before. I could’ve sworn it was something citrus. Maybe 4711 or something else, my brain kept cycling back to gypsy water. And that’s probably due to the juniper berries. I definitely got a citrus twinge at the beginning and then it began to morph into something I could only describe as an elevated Cool Water by Davidoff (the one for men). It wasn’t as vintage/old money smelling as GIT but there was a slight nod there. I really didn’t think I needed another variation on this scent as I own both of those and I placed the sample towards the bottom of my pile- meaning ones I’ll keep retesting but not a purchase priority.

Then… it dried down. And the vanilla came in. And oh my goodness. This is now intoxicating to my nose, forget what I thought 30 minutes ago. I need a bottle of this now. My husband probably needs to wear it but he won’t so I’ll buy it for “us” knowing I’m the sole benefactor of this sexy juice. I can’t believe this and Fluidity Gold are supposed to be the same exact notes with different developments. That one developed into peanut butter on me, and not in a good way. This is what I imagine George Clooney smells like. Off to keep secretly sniffing my self in the corner of my bedroom like a mad woman.

SofieSecret

When I hear the word perfume this is what I think of. There are a lot of variants of perfumes with different smells far from each other. But this.. just smells like ‘perfume’.

It smells like cheap Eau De Toilette or expensive Eau De Perfume all together.

It’s citrusy and woody, I can vaguely smell the coriander for better or for worse. It smells clean and fresh, and if that’s your style it would be perfect. I would like to smell clean and fresh but I would also like to smell like more. I don’t want the “you smell clean” or “did you just shower?”.. I want the “you smell so good.” Or the extra sniff.

I don’t think this is my style. But it’s okay. 04/10

Ambersmusk

I smell Chanel’s Platinum Egoiste! Is it just me?

MasterZ2012

Smells great but the longevity is terrible. Can't justify the cost for such poor performance.

LMBelvi

Sometimes coriander spoils a scent for me and it’s true in this case. It’s that simple

another leon

“Clean as a Whistle”. Reminds me of an expensive version of Irish Spring soap.

Fragaddict123

After testing this scent I reached a crossroad and these roads where labeled as follows
1. It’s very nice spicy and fresh
2. I smelled this somewhere
3. I think I need a bottle of this
4. Performance is less than average
5. This is really overpriced
And my reply was:
1.pleasant and I really like it
2.it is a better quality dunhill icon
3.I do want a bottle
4.performance is really bad
5. Insane price tag I shouldn’t pay
And until today iam still standing here not sure what path to cross

curt42

You can softly smell all the listed notes here and the quality is apparent. The problem I have with it, is that all of the notes are captive to that laundry soap, white musk. On my skin the juniper berry is too faint to remind me of a gin and tonic, as some have used to describe this. Any projection disappears after 2 hours, leaving a pleasant skin scent that is again, quality, but just a skin scent. This review is after trying a decant and a MFK sample, 2 different sources and both the same. Would definitely work as an office scent, male or female, or for a young professional that likes a fresh, soapy, right out of the shower vibe. Not for me.

Nate_915

This works well as a spring/summer signature. It’ll make you stand apart from those that always wear the typical blue fragrances. The opening is fizzy, but that goes away quickly. This dries down to a cool, refreshing juniper fragrance with some musk and vanilla to back it up. I’m surprised people in some of the reviews below are complaining about longevity on this one. A few sprays of this lasts literally all day long and it radiates off my skin. One of my favorites.

chrisk252

Bright, aromatic, herbal spices, a smooth sheen. Hints of Korean sweet black bean and vanilla fish shaped ice cream I used to love as a child. Versatile for all seasons except hot summer days. A surprising and unusual composition. High quality and well blended as per usual MFK. I'll have to explore this some more...unexpected, different, and creative.

Scent: 8 / Sillage: 7 / Longevity: 7

asgeirn

Sorry but this cat didn't do me like the hype below was expecting me to do. Can barely smell it after spraying it.... must be a bad batch or something. A big letdown. Had high hopes to wear this as my wedding scent next Saturday when I'm getting married.

TheRedBaron17

This scent is SO good. After the dry down it just gets better and better. Please do yourself the favor and go try it out in store. If you go to a neiman marcus and make a new account you get 15% off including beauty so you can get the big bottle for less than $400!
Seriously this smell is so clean and refreshing you can't stop smelling yourself. People say it smells like a gin and tonic and since I've never had one I'll have to go try to verify but yes 100% worth the price, you don't need many sprays at all.

E.L.2002

Smells like real jasmine flowers and masculine fresh spices, performance is average.
I'm positively surprised tbh.

Smell 8/10
Performance 5/10
Versatility 7/10

Knightsbridge9

One of my favourites from the MFK house by a mile. A fairly linear fragrance with bursts of juniper and musk across the day. Personally I enjoy wearing this in Spring or cooler summer days.

iszzieanna

Beautiful fresh scent with leather, smoke and greenery. The juniper give it this bite. A staple and so likeable. Kinda reminds me of Hacivat.

AlinkaSun

This is a must have for any gentleman’s perfume wardrobe. I own GF Gold and I adore it and I always wanted my husband to own GF Silver. Today the day finally came and he agreed to buy it for his birthday.

Let me tell you that this perfume turned my husband into niche perfume lover…this perfume was exactly what my husband wanted: signature universal scent that can be worn either hot summer or cold winter evenings, day or night. I love it too. For me it definitely leans more masculine due to strong nutmeg, coriander and wood notes. I love that it has this cool touch and sweetness at the same time. Amber and vanilla warm up and become more prominent as scent dries down. This perfume has a great performance and good projection. What’s important, as with many MFK perfumes, throughout day you may become anosmic to scent and then catch it again unexpectedly with a breeze of air.
I love that this fragrance is not dark, not light, not sweet but not fresh, it’s a manic chameleon that plays different on different skin, times and occasions.
100% in love
