A planned and marked nature-trail starts from Venås hytte at N59 09.175 E11 24.996. (The closest one can park is at point VS2). This has interesting, descriptive information boards at regular intervals. Alternatively, one can follow a VITAL trail (exercise trail from 2006) from the same place (slightly longer route) and follow part of the nature trail on the way back. The Vital people made their own orienteering-type 1:15000 map which is still online and it is fun to follow it.
For the more direct route, follow the nature trail first. Bear right when you meet another path at N59 09.103 E11 24.344, then immediately bear left at N59 09.121 E11 24.343, then cross over the lighted track at N59 09.151 E11 24.265 and go straight on. After a short way, there is a left turn up a steeper path leading to the steinrøys on top of a hill at N59 09.148 E11 24.046. To the right as one approaches the stones (just out of sight of the stone heap) there is a small stone bench with lovely views over the surrounding terrain. The cache is a few meters away.
This is a cache you visit for the pleasure of the walk in nature.
